Dangerous illusion of the past If I analyse recent mistakes I have made, they often have to do with what preceded, which is not relevant to the game as it stands in its new configuration (say: after the flop).
I have remarked that if I start with a very good hand, it is more prone to blur what I should really be doing and that I risk to push things too far, relatively to the new game configuration. Some times, anaylzing the table shows proceeding is legitimate, but sometimes I am convinced I just kept too excited by my good original draw and overlooked the rationality of my next move.
I imagine that the amount of money that has previously been invested in the pot might also affect some (as a "foot-in-the-door" which other can use as bait). Luckily it seems I don't have that problem.
