How to customize your forum signature strip (screenshots included)

This is a walk through for changing your forum signature strip

Your signature strip is the area below each of your forum posts. This area can contain any text, images, links and smilies.

1. Start by opening your "User CP"
2. Enter the "Edit signature" section



3. Enter your text in the box



4. Click "Preview post"



5. It should look something like this.



6a. To upload a signature picture from your computer hard drive, click on the "Browse" button, then search through your files and click the "open" button.
6b. Alternatively, upload it directly from an internet website or from a website like "photobucket" using the "http" code. See the "Posting pictures on threads and member profile pages" part of this forum thread to find out how that is achieved. Uploading pictures then posting them on threads and member profile pages.
Attention These images can be no larger than 500 x 100 pixels or 9.8kb (whichever is smaller)
7. Now click the "Preview signature" button.



8. It should look something like this.



9. To insert a link to a "Online Poker 66" forum page, "Outlaws City" bluff or another website, copy the "http" code from that page
Note To copy a link, place your computers pointer at one end of the "http" address, hold down the left mouse button any move along to the other end until the address is highlighted in grey, then right click the mouse button on the grey highlighted area and select "copy" from the drop down list. The link you have just copied is now ready to be pasted into the "Insert image" box.



10. Select "Create link".
11. Delete the "http://" from the pop up box
12. Right click the mouse button on the empty section and select "Paste"
13. Click the "ok" button



14. You can now edit how the link will look on your signature strip. However, do NOT delete anything inside and including the brackets. That is the actual link and will not work if you do so.



15. The text outside of the brackets mentioned in point 14 can be deleted



16a. Here you can see that in my signature strip i have chosen "Red" text
16b. Text size "4"
And writen "Liverpool Football Club Official Website"



17a. Ive added my "signature picture" at the start of the link ( as described in 6a. 6b. 7. and shown in 8. )
17b. And chosen to "centre" it all



18. After adding more links i have inserted two "Outlaws" "Smilies" in just the same way as you would in any post on the forum



My completed signature strip is shown at the bottom of all my forum posts.

NOTE
Since this thread was created, I have changed my signature strip.

Thats great now can you help me with my avatar ...I uploaded it (it appears on my user cp and posts) but when i went to lobby to upload it for the tables (pressed options and more options ect...)it wont work it tells me i don't have an avatar... i'm terrible on the computer any help would be appreciated ..tyvm

hi arezzo,,,

just guessing here, but.... it sounds like you are under the false impression that the table avatar upload is somehow linked to the forum avatar.. but its not. they are completely separate...

you need to have a copy of the pic you want to use as your table avatar saved somewhere on your computer... then when you go through the steps to upload via the lobby ( as you've done already ), it will get to a point where it asks you to input the address of the image you want to use. you need to enter the image address yourself at this point ( from your saved copy ).
