How to customize your profile page (screenshots included)

This is a walk through on how to customize your profile page with screenshots included

Ok,first things first.
Have you had a look at other members profile pages to give you an idea of how you want yours to look? If not,then it is probably best to do that now.
Have you created a album and uploaded pictures into it? If not,then you might need to read about how that is done.Here is a link to a thread that explains it.
Uploading pictures then posting them on threads and member profile pages

If all the above is complete then its time to jazz up your profile page.Just follow the instructions and look for the green arrows in the screenshots

I would probably start with the profile picture


Go to your "User CP"


Select "edit profile picture"


I recommend using the browse button rather than uploading this to one of your albums which has limited space.
Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 400 by 400 pixels or 64.0 KB (whichever is smaller).



Now for the rest of your profile page.
This part of the profile page is called "background image"


Enter your "user CP" again and open "Pictures & Albums"


Open the album containing your images that you wish to decorate your profile page with.Click the picture that you intend to add as your "background image".


Right click on the "picture URL" http address and select "copy" from the drop down list.


Go back to your profile page and look for "customize profile"


You should now see this screen.
Right click the "background image" box,select "paste" from the drop down menu and the select "save".


Basically that is it,everything else is a matter of trial&error or user preference.
Play around with text fonts,text colours,boarder sizes,boarder colours or images,link colours and lots more.
Me mindfull though that this process can take hours,i know it did for me.It may involve you resizing or editing your images on your computer (,uploading them to your album again) before you get the desire results for a perfect profile page.

Nice work, well done...another tip is to click the little pic next to image box and it will show you the pics in your profile album, saves all the copying and pasting
