Default How exactly do the credits work

I know you get credits for things like posting, starting threads and updating your profile but I wondered if there was anywhere which says how many credits you get for each.

I'm not complaining but, having posted a few messages and seen my credits slowly tick over to around 1000 I suddenly saw them jump to around 3000 after only a few more posts. I then logged on at the weekend just to check the forum and they had jumped to 35000 and now without any further activity on the forum I have reached 73981.

It's not a problem (I'll welcome any free credits) but you just like to know why things are happening.

This question has been asked and answered many times. Moving thread to newbies zone, and closing.
