Kicker Cards ??

Hi.. I was wondering if anyone could tell me.. if two players win showing the same hand does your kicker card come into play or do you just share the pot?

if the hand consists of 5 cards then kicker does not come into play if the hand consists os 4 cards or less then the kicker comes into play. also the kicker can be one of the up cards on the table
