Default Newbie tourneys with more than 10K in account?

I just got 20K from being in the forum. Am I allowed to play in newbie tourneys?

Players with stacks over 10k are not allowed to play at the Newbies tables. Go ahead and move up to a slightly higher table - if you follow BlackLava's Strategy Guide and the Tip of the Day suggestions - you will probably grow your stack from 20 k to more in short order and you will get to keep your points! Have fun!

Well, won my first mini on the $1K minimum table - although it appears through a computer glitch of some sort. I was left with one other player at the table, and I had about 1200 in chips and he had the rest. Suddenly it appears he was at about 100. I ended up winning the tourney with 1200 chips or so! I would have been happy with the 2nd place finish, but I won't be filing any official complaints.
