what were the hands?

the thing to remember is you're making a five card hand. if you've got a pair and your opponents got a pair, it'll go to the next highest card, if that card's on the board, the pot splits

If there's REALLY a winning hand and the pot splits, it is because one of the players (let's call him Jason) playing that hand went all-in, with let's say 200 chips, with at least 2 people who called him.
If these 2 ppl have more than 200 chips they still play on for a split pot, meaning they are actually playing a "new" hand with the same cards withouth the person who went all in.

If Jason has higher cards than those 2 ppl who called him, he gets 600 chips in total and the remaining chips will go to the person who had the second best hand.

sorry i used the wrong word when i said they will play for a split pot i meaned they will play for a side pot.
pot will also split if the hands they have are the same (both ace high for example)
