My question is..am I nuts or what? To try & make some sense here..ok.. here goes...I do great at a table sometimes...like tonite..ok..I was doing great..not the first time mind you..anyway..I knew when I was up to move on..leave the table...winning was done..but..I hung in there & it was a huge mistake..again not the first time.. I feel rude to leave..I know that's pathetic..But it's true..be sides am I nuts..which no need to answer that question..I know the answer ..when I feel I should leave..is that what a pro does? I'm here mostly for fun..but yet..I have a competitive side to me & to play well & smart would make me happy..Thanks for any input.. |

| hmmmm i can totally relate to the feeling i think you're trying to describe. Yes, while we are all here to be competitive and win chips ( that IS the point of poker isnt it? ), there is still a feeling of, well it IS free chips, and you dont wanna offend the table by appearing 'rude' by pulling a hit-and-run. I struggle with this myself on the few nights when i win. First, i think it's commendable that you are aware enough to be sensitive to the issue. second, i think it's also smart of you to take notice when you feel that your 'time is up'. the solution/compromise that Ive usually tried to follow is to , upon hitting that point in the evening, stay in a few more hands to see the flop, fold out, THEN call it a night. At least it makes ME feel better. good luck out there, hope to see you. |

| There is nothing wrong with a quick grab on the ring tables (if that is what you are refering to). Besides, it is the least you can do with all the abuse you get on them.. There is no written contract you are breaching.. Take the money and run!!! Lol |

| Take them and run. Or you could leave the table and go back with a lower amount that you are prepared to lose and leave the rest in your account where its safe and you wont lose the lot I know this answer might annoy people as a believe its called ratholing but as you have mentioned these are free tables and your aim is to build up your account to allow you to play at higher tables. This is where the regulars are in my experience and there is a lot more fun interaction with people who i would now call friends. Also, if you havent done already, try entering some tournies and the sit and goes - they are played a lot better in general and you can have a lot more fun and only risk your entrance chip fee and potentially win a lot of chips. Good luck and enjoy

| ratholing as they call it can be seen as rude. but you are playing poker to maximise your profits after all. to test your skill. be it for free chips or real money. some places will not let you resit at the same table for a ceertain length if you leave. but to bank your chips in a sit n go is acceptable i feel. after all you are protecting your profit. but to resit again with minimum buy in is pretty rude to the others. if a player says ok thats it for me gl all, why is that not being polite and acceptable? just my thoughts.

| I don't think it is rude to leave the table after a big win if thats what you mean...at the end of the day you on playing to try and win big. |
