| Ive only been playing online a couple of months.. just wondering if someone can tell me how a split pot works in general? You see sometimes one player will get more than the other one or two? Is it to do with ratios of how high their cards are or...? thanks! |

| Ok, say you go all in with 1000 chips and the other person goes in with 1500 chips , they have put more in then you so they are guaranteed 500 chips as they have put more in then you, Even if they lose the hand you will get 2000 chips but they'll get 500. hope you understand ![]()

| firecutting explained it perfectly. You can only win up to the amount that you bet. |

| A player can only get out of a pot what they put in. If you go all in with 1000 chips.. And another players raises you. You can only win 1000 chips from this player. All chips apart from these 1000 go into what is called a 'side-pot'. If it is only you and him in the hand. He automatically wins the side-pot even if he doesnt win the hand. If there are more than 2 players in the hand. The side pot winner is determined by who has the best hand of the remaining players. Remembering that each player can only recieve what they put in. |
