Does it matter as to where you sit when you first get on a table as to what is dealt to you?

Not at that point as no cards have been dealt to you yet...eventually your goal should be to be able to play from any "position"...learn to make the best of ANY situation, even if that means folding...

That might play a little in very tight games. There are always some players harder to deal with... Being distant from them helps sometimes... but that remains a minor benefit !!!

Kinda funny, but my I posted my first avatar and the picture was facing to the left, so I always tried to sit on the right side of the table so it "looked like" he was watching the cards on the table. Now with the Beagle, I don't care where I sit, lol

e reason you can not pick a tournament seat directly, like you can in a ring game, is that a part of the tournament is the random seating. In an actual tourny your seat is assigned to you. Once I heard that, I sit where it puts me, even though my avatar is left facing.
