| Just found the poker hand calculator at the bottom of the main page and when i try to use it, i select some cards, click calculate and it tells me i must choose some hole cards. What does this mean please? thanks |

| the hole cards are the ones that you get dealt in the beginning of the game. they are always facing down and you get 2 of them |

| Your 2 (or 4 in ohmaha) Personal cards you get delt right at the start of the hand. Beaten to it! |

| thanks michaelvitelli now you said that, i realise i wasn't using the calculator properly. not sure how much that helps thought as you have to know what the other players cards are to get the odds. maybe i'll find it more useful as i go along. |

| I could never figure out how to make good use of it. Like you said, you need to know everybody's cards. Where do you get that kind of information from?

| yeah i tryed to use that calculator too and got confused by same thing. it looks silly, why do we need to calculate chances if we know opponent cards. Looks stupid... |
