Default Autobiographies

My mum bought me Jamie Carragher's autobiography for Christmas and it is the best autobiography by a footballer I have ever read. Whats the best autobiography you have ever read? Mine is between Jeremy Clarkson and Carragher

I remember to really enjoy Pablo Neruda's.

Gandhi's definitely worth a read too, though not for sex, drugs and gambling.

although i havent read mandela's story 'a long walk to freedom' i here its very good, similarly the book 'goodbye bafana' is also very moving, its the story of a young south african prison officer and the awakening of his understanding of the blacks struggle for freedom while guarding nelson mandela, the truth of which slowly begins to conflict with all he learned about black 'terrorists' under apartheid.

I've read a few good ones lately. Including Ian St John, Ian Rush, Frank McLinock and Brian Clough but probably my favourite was Peter Marinello's

Adder got me Bobby Charltons new book for Christmas and I cant wait to get stuck into it. I'm currently reading Stuart Pearce's book

Anyone who is interested in football autobiographies give Carragher's a go. That fella is gonna make one hell of a manager. Some of them revelations would have been better kept in the closet though lol.

Jeb, Great thread, as I'm always lookin for a good book

As a Pool fan I've read the Carragher Book and it's BRILLIANT. I also loved the Kenny Dalglish Auto and found the roy keane auto a really interesting read - Sorry.

As for music, have to agree with nothemessiah "No One Here Gets Out Alive" about Jim Morrison is brilliant. Was at a Riders on the Storm gig a few years back with Ian Astbury from The Cult as lead vocal (good but would love to see Ian McCullough from Echo and the Bunnymen give it a go) and Ray Manzarek narrated from the book and it was really cool but enjoyed the book more!!!

Another one I loved was " Touching from a Distance" about Ian Curtis and Joy Division by his wife Deborah - Super (but dark and sad) Read
