I cant get my head round why we celebrate someone trying to blow up parliament !
Whilst on the subject, i personally think fireworks should be banned from general sale, all the injuries every year and people being scarred for life, and irresponsible kids throwing them at people or posting them through peoples letterboxes etc, fireworks are extremely dangerous. The other thing that cheeses me off with fireworks is, that once on sale, around mid october, people are letting them off every night till new years day. This is a nightmare for people with pets like myself, as they get scared easily and i am reluctant to let my cats out,so they end up staying in for weeks. I dont have a problem with organised events, with all precautions in place, so the risks are minimal
(feel better now ive got that off my chest )
