Yes if he was giulty at all or innocent ..well people your government will warn u before u go into these countries about drugs and the penalties for trafficting ..the chance to get rich quick is not worth ur life ..even being in the jail over there is a death penalty as aids is a problem there ..do yourself a favour go to a country with civel laws if u want to travel overseas ...thats why these counties offer cheap and nasty holidays ...

ok, sorry mate...this statement is clop...i worked in a morgue...not for long coz i cudnt take the heartache, but long enuf to have seen mothers crying over their children lying on a slab because of drugs...be it self abuse or victim of crime...its part of life here, i have seen members of my family deteriorate and have limbs amputated thru drug abuse, hell, some of them have even died because of it....AND YOU WANT THIS LEGALISED??? YOU WANT THIS FREELY AVAILABLE FOR MY 13 YEAR OLD SON???

if drugs were legal and readily available to anyone who needed/wanted them there would be no turf wars over the distribution of them and the prices would drop.....therefore we would have less drug related crime....
as for drug overdoses and the other health concerns, proper education on abstinence/moderation (starting in the home moms and dads)is a BIG start...look at the statistics on alchohol abuse in most of europe where vs. the usa....nevermind that....look at what happened in the usa when they made alchohol illegal, it just fueled the mob and the black market for it........I don't need to hear all the whining about what it does to peoples' families as I have been driving my brother to a methadone clinic EVERY single day (when I am in town) for three years now as I have been paying eleven dollars per day for his treatment because I told him years ago that I would pay for his treatment until he weens himsel off....I have much more peace of mind doing this for my brother than having him out obtaining smack on the street.....
the system here in the usa is so out of whack i.e., a 6 year old can't sit still in 1st grade so he is diagnosed with ADD or ADHD and prescribed ritalin or adderall (both forms of speed basically) and than a decade or so later the biggest news in the "war on drugs" is this huge crystal meth problem that is sweeping across the nation......
my only vice is nicotine (and losing at poker of course) and I can assure you I am so addicted to ciggerettes that if they made them illegal and the price went high enough I would not think twice about sticking a gun in some innocent persons face so I could support my habit....actually I'm smarter than that and I would just grow my own but you get what I'm saying.......think about it

I'm sure at times a few years ago he would rather have had heroin over methadone as he has said so himself but he has since learned (the hard way) the negative effects of said drug......

I look at it like this........do people get diabetes and die because sugar is legal? do people die of heart disease because we have yet to outlaw food that is high in cholesterol?

diabetes is caused mainly by a malfunction of pancreatic cells therefore causing a lack of insulin...heart disease is mainly caused by a build up of atheroma on the walls of the coronary arteries and therefore restricts the flow of blood to the heart...BOTH are disfunctions within the body's structure...whether physical, or metabolical...NEITHER are comparitable to heroin abuse...
and on that note GBI...i bid you happy new year and i am going to bed (mainly because the alcohol is making me waffle...yes, the LEGAL alcohol )...if u wanna pick on me some more, i'll be back in a while...u know i'm always up for a good argument...its the best cure for boredom xxxxxxxxxxxxx

No turf wars, but more crime. It is that simple. Just in case you think I dont know what I am talking about, a friend I knew my whole life and went to school with was shot dead over drugs, him being a long time user who couldnt pay his debts and also had drugs seized before his death.

Name was Christopher Barry and he was from killester in dublin(google it).
I have seen what drugs do and if ALL drugs are legalised, there will be more prostitution, disease, house prices would plummet.

I have only one question to ask. What crime is worse the smuggling of drugs or the murder of someone? Wether you like it or not to kill an unarmed man with a gun is cold bloodied murder.
Although i would like to see severe penalties for drug dealing in this country and anyone caught smuggling drugs into this country should rescieve life.
I do not wish to make murderers out of people and can never get any satisfaction over the killing of someone.

the OP duznt ask whether or not we agree with the death sentence, most people do not agree with the death sentence...i abhor the death sentence, i think its barbaric, but i believe whatever the punishment is - if its good enuf for me then its good enuf for you. if the penalty was life in prison then give him life in prison, if its death then give him death. I dont agree that any man has the power to decide who shud live or die...but i do agree that the man in question shud serve the appropriate penalty for his crime...unfortunatley in China, its death ...rules are there for a reason, whether we agree with them or not, what good are rules if people are allowed to break them and walk away scott free?
