Concerning the Forums, and your role in them

I think this whole thing has been blowen way out of proportion. At least I am hoping it has. I truly believe that the one line retort to a joke will be acceptable Most likelyand the silliness will continue on the forum. Most definitely I think the intent (and I haven't read all of the posts) is to clean up the forum a bit and letting people know that it has gotten out of control a little.A lot! I do not like the threats of banning people for itI am still trying to find where I mentioned banning people..... and their are more important issues to deal with here. My biggest concern is the rampant rudeness by other players on the tables and how so many players are degrading to women. THAT to me needs to be taken care of first before we worry about spam on the forum. I do not pretend to know how this site works with other groups and maybe its impossible to fix (which I believe everything is possible).Although these few statements are a bit OFF TOPIC, you may see where I addressed it previously. Because it IS such a pressing issue, I will say again.... We no longer have the control on the tables that we had before the merge. Every player has the ability to block chat from any player by clicking on the offending player's name box and clicking BLOCK CHAT.

I would like everyone to just relax and let the water flow back to its own level. We all take stances every day in life, we just need to back down all and have fun again. I have known most of you here now for a few months and have talk to most. You all seem to be level headed-lets just stop all of this now and begin anew. We all need to be more careful what we post here. -I was wondering if I could start a baby picture thread to collect what all the peeps look like when they were babies.You certainly may! - Carmine -

I think you have it all wrong he only whants the foram clean and tidy
and for all of us to put the right posts in the right place
ie if it is to do with Newbies Zone, Technical Zone, Strategic Zone then put them in the right part of the foram On Topic, without spam.
and if it is jokes and games and things to do with outlaws then put them in the General Discussion
just but your stuff in the right part of the foram
IT WILL SAVE ALL THE MODS LOTS OF WORK

I don t understand what he want and i don t want too except infraction from him if any other mod want too send infraction let that mod do it. My spam was joke it was who i am if he want too take this from me he will need too ban me same by his rules he broke some of them and i might post links some of posts are simular too my joke spam. Everybody spam now and than and he offended me with that infraction. But i won t post links of his what he call spam(i call them jokes) and btw i don t accept what he changed he knew exactly what he was writting(but he saw people are vs it) and his replay too colling_wood is not polite.

For everybody's information, it takes me approximately 35 seconds from start to finish to BAN somebody. Even less than that to issue an infraction. If that was my goal, it would have been done long ago. Danzi, if you would like to understand what I want, read my words, and do not add others to it. If you were offended by the infraction, it is because you did not read the PM I sent with it. You are correct in saying my reply to collingwood was not polite. Yet every day, I see similar replies in the Forums. Wouldn't it be nice if that sort of thing no longer happens? - Carmine -

i'm gonna suggest somat else towards this whole 'clean up' business that this is all on about;

why not close down and, if possible, delete the threads that are either innapropriate or have been innactive for maybe 2-3 weeks?

This would clear up a lot of space on the forum, and it may be possible that the system would run more efficiently- which could also end the lagging on the tables (this i'm not sure about, but it's all on the same server isn't it? so it should help with the lag?)

Delete threads? I am talking about deleting only a couple inconsequential posts, and you see how people are taking that.... To my knowledge, the Forum, and Poker tables are still two separate servers. The Forum should have no effect on the tables. - Carmine -

This would clear up a lot of space on the forum, and it may be possible that the system would run more efficiently- which could also end the lagging on the tables (this i'm not sure about, but it's all on the same server isn't it? so it should help with the lag?)

i see this thread has caused alot if fighting so my reply will be honest

i see that in the past few weeks alot of important threads to people eg mrcools heads up challenge thread was cleaned up..i know mrcool took pride in playing these heads ups and u cleared them without asking or even saying to mrcool When BlackLava originated the Launch a Sit N Go Forum, it was determined by THE STAFF, that we would delete each thread as the table closed. I did not Delete MrCools Challenge thread. At first, I did delete a lot of the one liners after the thread became dormant for a long period of time. MrCool and I communicated via PM and we came to an agreement. - Carmine -

i also feel that colling_woods replys may be short but thats the way he is same with danzi and his jokes he has done it for months with all mods new and old again thats the way he is just like i type missing out letters but thats the way we people are the way we always have been Nobody gets punished for poor English. i see u dont like games and accuse people of only playing them for credits..now i used to play them and i gained loads of credits but most people like me donated loads of credits to newbies and friends who have had hard times yet we get accused of spamming for credits

also on this topic i once saw a mod close a thread due to complaints and not long after i saw another mod re-open that same thread due to it being popular..if a game is popular what harm is it doing? keeps people happy and u state u wish to attract players yet u want to deny them fun? finally on games i will state i agree about having seperate forums and making it so credits cant be gained from them This is a possible option being discussed by Staff - Carmine -

i see complaints about jokes and spam by saying lol good one i do not feel there is anything wrong with this as a person has posted a joke and u find it funny so lets stating its funny so most people type lol good one m8 or hahahaha loved it there is nothing wrong with this as it is limited for replys I used that as an example in my original post before editing. As of this time, there will be no penalties for that. However, only to make my point, when somebody copy/pastes "lol greetz m8" on a couple dozen joke threads within a matter of moments, you can not tell me that is not spam.

again i agree with the idea abotu seperate forum for all jokes just like the kids free zone and not gaining credits from them

u state about deleting post and threads that are old but why is it when a player requests a thread to be closed noone deletes it yet there is complaints about runing out of space..easy solution delete the closed threads unless having very good information To my knowledge, we are not running out of space for the Forum. There is a difference between CLOSING and DELETING threads. I am not positive, but I believe that the originator of a thread may delete it themselves. I cannot verify this, as I have the tools at my disposal for all threads. - Carmine -

Ok carmine I ll leave this and no more fights from my side. We don t agree in one point and we never will. I think it is ok too delete spam posts but not the ones that are joke ones(but also spam). I know i had some i ll call them spam jokes don t know how many you know as you deleted them. You are mistaken. I have never deleted ANY joke threadsBut you are mod and i hope you ll do your job good. Do you know you will need too give infraction too many mods here for this rules? Will do that? Seriously, Carmine was right about the cleaning up of this forum, it looks a mess, and it's not half as good as it used to be. Hopefully after this drastic yet needed action it will get back to it's best! In the first 3 months on this forum I posted around 600 times, due to the lack of quality within this forum I have only posted around 200-300 since August. It's because of all the spam, I have no problems with the games but I think it is a very good idea to have a Games Section, if you want this forum tidy, you have a Joke Section so I don't see why there isn't a case for a Games Section due to the popularity of the forum games. The popularity of these games have somewhat increased over the last couple of months and the quality of the General Discussion Area has decreased in the same period in my opinion, only because many people take more interest in games than other topics. Carmine, despite the negative response from a number of people I think that your doing the right thing and that it is for the better of this forum!

did u read it? he states he thought people can delete thier OWN threads and he pm'd me about this and we worked out that people cant just the mods so u may wish to read it also as i didnt state i wanted to delete threads i only asked how

I apologize for the confusion. This has been clarified for me. shaunloveskerry and I communicated via PM, and he informed me that members DO NOT have the option to DELETE THREAD. Members must PM a Moderator to have their thread CLOSED, or DELETED. The difference....Deleted is gone. CLOSED is still visible, but not open to replies. Be clear when requesting either.
