If its anything like Ireland Daddy, most of it will go too the capital city and the rest into the politician,s bank accounts...Its nice that you actually got to vote on an issue like that as I think you pay ennough in car tax already.....

Hey guys Edinburgh had this vote a few years ago, our nice politicians had already spent 18mil of our money before they found out it was a NO vote. If I could swear I would. These same guys are now spending 500mil on a tram system that serves a fraction of the City?????? and has caused mayhem on the roads. Why do we let then do it.

this is the problem with democracy, the people you elect are not neccesarily the most competent people to do the job, at worst they're full slimy treacherous b#####d's, put the people who do the voting don't really have a clue about what the people they're voting for are like.

unfortunately the best ways to object to these people who have gulled their way into authority come under the category of offenses like riot, insurrection, public disorder, even terrorism. you cant just tip up mob handed, drag the b#####d outof his office and douse them in petrol and burn them inthe street. which is better than most of them deserve.

Wasnt the £3billion u talk about just gonna come from the motorists paying the congestion charge?
Or did they already have £3billion for the public transport projects&they just wanted the motorists to pay that back in congestion charges?
Either way,im so glad that the majority voted "NO" the congestion charge.Im self-employed but live outside Manchester,so i never got the option to vote, even though i have to travel inside the M60 on a regular basis.I have no option of using public transport to do this.A congestion charge would have just added to the growing costs i already incure.
A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO VOTED ON MY BEHALF

partly i think, if thats the case how long would the public have to wait for better transport. the charge was going to be £5 in and out at peak times
