darlington football club

if anybody is interested my football team darlington f c in the north east of england came back from the dead with seconds to spare.They are 129 years old this year and are in desperate needs of funds.So i beg all of my friends on here if you can help in anyway at all no matter how small a slice of history could be saved.i have never asked for anything before on here but needs must.to help out please see the link on twitter @darlo uncovered.

my home town club. Grimsby Town, have had the same kinda probs, talks of new stadium for years, never came and lost our league status through relegations.

there ground must be one of the worst in the league/conference/lower league, but have a massive catchment area

please someone invest some money and get us back in the league at least

Hi M8,
I was in Darlington last weekend and popped some change in a bucket for the cause.
It's very sad and lots of blame falls on George Reynolds shoulders, but most of Darlington's population just don't care about the football club.
Fingers crossed for them though.

oldham are in a similar situation. my mums friend is a regular. even sponsor's a player to pay his wage.

whats funny is she blames city, apparently some of their regulars are jumping ship to support us. not sure how thats our fault. quite happy to take two players on loan for free tho

yeah i know it will. but thats not the clubs fault. we do a lot to help them. we let clubs do a collection in and around our ground on match day.

yeah probably, i remember a thread on here yrs ago when they took over

was man utds worst day for me , thay can cut and run anytime and there were kinda in the crap unless someone comes in and takes over all the millions of dept they have put us in

still posted a profit after paying off 60+ mil debt (think thats the min repayment) will be with you till they are debt free im afraid

yeah but its football, not a toy 4 big money [layers who want to buy in, strip assets and run

luckily we doing OK so they dont wanna run yet, times change tho and if we drop down league and dont get in europe every year etc: they will pull the plug and then were kinda struggling

Terrible news that this can happen to a club with such history. Sadly this is the norm these days and it appears the FA do 'FA' to stop this happening. When you consider tevez still gets paid 200k a week to play golf?? a runt like him and his annual wage could save a club - something wrong..
