Default Desktop vs. Laptop vs. Netbook

I am thinking about buying a Netbook PC. I am wondering if anyone uses one to play poker. I currently use a desktop with a 21" screen. I like the big screen and I am not sure how I would like the 10" Netbook screen. Any advice or comments would be appreciated.

i switched to a laptop about 2 yrs ago from a desktop, would not go back now as there so versitle.

think its 15.4 widescreen which is easily ample, not sure tho that i'd want a smaller screen than that

I personally hate laptops, every laptop I've had has died on me and they don't have enough memory for the music I listen to (well the amount of it anyway) I've got a desktop and probably will until the day I die lol

i love my laptop, my first one died after a year, but it was a very cheap one. so i decided to spend £600 on my second, which is a dell, and you get what you pay for, i also pay full cover insurence for just £2 a week.
another tip i was told about laptops, is that when you put them down, stand it on its end, like a greetings card, keeps it nice and cool...

but a 10 inch screen seems a little too small to me...

acer aspire 8290...18" screen, HD, bluetooth and all flashy blue lights down the left side...great piece of machinery

my kids both have the 6920 and one had a few probs with the screen, so steer clear of that, but the bigger model is excellent..IMO

My wife has a PC, 2 sons have laptops, 3rd son has netbook, and I borrow whatever I can get my hands on lol

The only drawback that I have found with the netbook's smaller screen is that you can,t display 2 tables at once

Overall due to its greater portability I actually prefer the netbook over any of the other machines I have used

Hope this helps

We have a desktop but hardly gets used. We both have a laptop and find it much more versatile. The screen resolution on modern laptops is excellent and I find Ideal to play poker. If you wanted you could always use a larger external monitor, or most modern TV screens as an output device if you want to retain the feel of your 21" screen.
