got to say im disappionted by the response to my poll in general poker disc,new (best new member)over 5oo views to thread but only 36 votes cast i know it may not be everyones cup of tea but what a nice way to say to our new members welcome and i like the way you play poker.
seems our forum is not used by as many players as i thought or players cant be bothered to make replys .
come on make an effort please still three days to run, thankyou

i want to vote but based on the fact i only know one of them it makes me feel biased..yes stats show players are doing well but to me doesnt show if they are a great player or a lucky player hence my not voting sorry

I feel i can't vote because i don't play very often so don't know the players that have been nominated, there is only one name i know up there and that's more throught the forum than on the tables.

I think it would be wrong of me to vote for that person just because i know their name and not the others.

as tel knows, i'm more than embarrassed by the whole poll thing and i wish all the best to the other nominees but as i have also said to tel...it's a great idea of his an gives something for the new players to aim for, it's not all about chips an lp's etc, it's about improvement an recognition of their game.
i would like to say also that this post is not about gettin votes for myself(for the record mine goes to bbob) but more of a thank you to telboy, who i know an does his best for the site and our community, on the forum an on the tables he is ever present and by me, appreciated.

I think it was/is a great thread. I have since crossed paths with one of the "newbies" in a tourney who I hadn't seen before, but because of the thread I quit multi-tasking for a few minutes to watch them . No matter the vote/comment count, I'm sure those that read the thread will now recognize the names when they see them on the tables.

I wanted to vote for rich but then I read that the poll is for players of 3 months standing or less.How can I vote for him when I know that he's been here for nearly a year now? It seems kind of wrong.maybe thats why people are not voting..

sorry hun, i wanted to vote for someone who didnt make the list, but i couldnt as you know ...its a really good idea Tel to give the newcomers some recognition, and there are quite a few out there that deserve it...well done on your idea
