Friendly rivalry

I wondered if any other Counties, States, or Areas, had a long lasting rivalry similar to the Lancashire Yorkshire one. The Lancastrians reckon that, Yorkshire born and Yorkshire bred, strong in't arm and weak in't head. Where the Yorkshireman says. Yorkshire is all hills and moors, Lancashire is all mills and whores. If you have any anecdotes in a similar vein I would love to hear them.

We have a college rivalry here in Florida,University of Florida and Florida State.They say you can always tell a university Player from a State player quite easily. you will see the college ring of a State player when picking his nose at the dinner table!
