Gerrard is one of the greateast players of this era and if he committed the assualt i hope he will be treated as a person and not a star as they seem to be treated differently to the normal person

Plus aren't you forgetting that the actual England captain was arrested in 2002 for assault. Whatever actually happened last ngiht which no one really knows has happened. I hope Gerrard isn't to blame and hope he gets back doing what he does best soon. But people need to learn to forgive like Chelsea did with Terry. Surely are fans would be more forgiving towards Gerrard than Chelsea were to Terry...Danzi? Last edited by ExhaustPipe; 12-29-2008 at 02:12 PM..

Was Dean Windass involved in a punch up wi sum1 not so long ago? tht never seemed to effect his career too much... He's like a big bully, yet he's the tiger's "hero" for putting them through to th premiership. I think what Jeb says is right, although Gerrard could at least spare an apology or something to the D.J for his mates actions- even if it weren't him, as it may redeem his public figure a little bit. I dont think he oughtta stand up for himself too strongly, as at the end o the day he was there. He may have been able to stop it...but being a human, thought best to stay out the way and let his mates (if they were his mates) punch him up, which is understandable. Then again, as u said m8, he is a scouse afta all, and all scouse's back each other up. Guilty or not, he'll get off th hook. kwak

Don't speak to me like an ignoramus please. Give me some respect will you please(now I see why you got banned). I have my opnion on the matter, you have yours. Each to their own. Each have been brought up in different manners. But being the person he is and I'm assuming being under the influence of alcohol I can see why Gerrard stood his ground and never ran away. I have like I said before infinite respect for Gerrard, who I have respected for 10 years and I'm not going to let one poxy incident tarnish my respect for him, understand? I am a kid therefore I can make a judgment unlike you. Despite this incident, Gerrard is still my hero I don't care whether he is charged or not. I don't care whether he gets thrown in jail for 2 or 3 months he will always have my respect as being the greatest player to ever play for Liverpool F.C. Wrecked it all, don't you think your taking it a step TOO far? Wake up and smell the coffee, Gerrard will be back playing in a matter of weeks, end of. Oh and your partner would actually know about the sort of scouse behaviour I'm talking about. He was pretty abusive towards me during your ban. When I was just a little boy, I asked my father what would he be? Is he like Souness, or Sammy Lee, heres what he said to me... Steeeeeeeeee Gerrard Gerrard, He can pass the ball 40 yards, he's big and he's friggin hard, Ste Gerrard Gerrard. Steeeeeeeeee Gerrard Gerrard, He's better than Frank Lampard, he's scouse and he's friggin hard, Ste Gerrard Gerrard. Y.N.W.A Stevie G Last edited by ExhaustPipe; 12-29-2008 at 03:26 PM.. |

I am an Everton supporter, have seen the news about Stevie G, am an older person myself and I well remember when I walked to our Derby games in the 50s and 60s and for a while in the 70s, with Liverpool supporters who were my neighbours in my street, we respected each other, our teams were the greatest there ever was, since then of course Liverpool have far outstretched Everton in terms of achievements in the football world and they thoroughly deserve all the acclaim and plaudits any team should recieve, I have the fullest respect and admiration for LFC as any scouser, even as a blue EFC supporter... but I really do feel that Stevie G was in the "wrong place at the wrong time", having said that I also feel that Steven should have made a very quick exit from the trouble that erupted, he didnt and was arrested, he has not been charged with anything as yet and lets hope he isnt but the fact is he was arrested, this does not enhance his image to the great majority of young kids who see him as "ultra" clean, he is the Captain of his club team Liverpool, and a major force in his National Team, England, he should have been far more aware of potential problems that would arise wherever he happens to be...as an Everton Supporter I would never be so crass as to crow about SG`s arrest because he is Liverpool`s Captain, rather I feel very saddened and a little let down by the fact that a leading figure from my hometown, Liverpool, employed in a high profile profession, has become embroiled in a sordid "confrontation"...I sincerly hope SG isnt charged, the lad by nature isnt confrontational, but if he is charged then I feel sincerly sorry for his future image, the lad is an icon for so many fans in this country...so from a true Everton Fan to a true Liverpool Captain...be honest, own up and take the punishment if it is deserved and comes, but please SG, dont ever get caught in the same situation again, your too good for that kind of mess...Jacky Last edited by EvertonScouse; 12-29-2008 at 04:08 PM..
