Help please!!! Any laptop boffins??

Hey mates,ive lost sound on me laptop,any ideas? Pretty useless with comps and have fiddled with all i dare
Got no sound if i wanna watch you tube/red tube lol
Nothing on browser games or owt like that..
Works fine tho if i download summat and watch on media player,cds okay,spotify okay,poker ok grrrr its canny new too,got vista if thats any help...

Thanks a bunch if anyones got any ideas,too skint to take to a fix it shop,cheers mates

is there a image of like a speaker thing in your bottom right double click on it make sure everything is at the top and nothing is on mute
