The problem here is that the question who is the best football club liverpool or man utd is very subjective.

If it means currently then it's Man United , If it takes into consideration history then Liverpool have a better track record.

That is a bold claim indeed.

OK, Liverpool have the edge historically in international honours and their dominance of the domestic game in the 80s is well documented but can anyone, even a Liverpool fan, deny the fact that no other team comes close to Manchester United in the Modern English game, amounting to no less than 9 out of 15 Premiership titles (where Liverpool have yet to win one...) and an unprecedented treble in '99.

Personally, I tire of Liverpool's reliance on past glory when comparing the two teams.

Be jealous if you like, but please accept the reality that Liverpool have failed to deliver, season in, season out, for a long time whereas Manchester United play entertaining football, winning titles & trophies along the way, and thoroughly deserve the accolade (often begrudgingly, I might add, from other team's fans) of being the best team in the country.

PS hope to see you in the Champ League final for another stroll in the park...

Man Utd could easily dominate this league for ten years. As long as SAF is replaced well, we have young players who will just get better and better. Ronaldo, Rooney and co have been too good for anyone else this year, and they've got years left to improve.
