Why do some people have to be so stupid and abusive?
Why don't more decent folk say something?

My beef is with one person who just has to make some rude and abusive comment to me whatever I say. But what annoys me more is when so called good people say "now be nice" or "boys play nicely". This guy is a complete a**.
My whole time spent in tournaments is wasted and I cannot enjoy the company of others 'cos this guy spoils it for me. I dont have any problem with his "bingo" play, that is his choice, but to call me the names he does just pee's me off completely.
Everybody knows him and knows he is an idiot but it is just accepted.
WELL ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
Why should people like this be tolerated? I want an answer and not just..."it will get better with the new script".

Some people use mind games and showing them like this that it is working will not make it any better.

Is this guy an OP66 player ? If so he wont get away with it on the new script as the mods will have their old powers back to remove abusive players.

If not the script change will work because we wont be able to see nonop66 players comments etc .

I dont play ring tables for the very fact that I know its horrid and i would want to retaliate but would get banned in the process.

PM a mod if there OP66 and they will be able to do something.

Otherwise its just a waiting game, Im afraid 24/7 are useless when it comes to abuse on the tables.

Ok I have made my complaint, named the name. I dont think he is an OP66 member.

What can be done? Nothing I guess? So I will block his chat but everyone else on the table can read it. Doesn't that put me at a disadvantage? If someone was going to abuse you, would you prefer to know what was being said or kept in the dark while others read about it?

I know exactly what you mean and you shouldnt have to mute or put up with it but unfortunately thats the current situation.

I know you dont want to hear wait for the new script and it wont solve all the problems but it will help a great deal.

99.9% of the time, I see or hear of someone being abusive, it is never an active OP66 member.

i completely understand your frustration daddysean, but i have also grown to understand the moderators frustrations also, they have obviously been limited in what they can do on this network with NON op players, the amount of times u hear them say pm me their name, they maybe go to pitbull/24/7 put their complaints in i presume, and its left in their hands. I have seen myself ppl getting warnings on this site, banned etc, very easy to make a new email up and create a new username and start from stratch (pit).

On this new site mods will have greater control and i know it might sound meaningless at present but i do believe things will be a lot brighter and we will not face the likes of what some have been subjected to on this network...

I know as I said I stopped playing ring tables and some sit and goes because of it and the fact that i would end up getting banned if i responded in a like for like manner.

This should not happen but since the joining of this network it has, Im not saying it never happened when we were just OP66 it did but it was dealt with quickly and efficiently by the mods and it was soon a very occasional blip.

I am looking forward to being able to play wherever I want again without being hassled.


One last point swearing shows a lack of intelligence and these abusive guys show that . Rise above it and take their chippies. Good luck on the tables

I'm sorry you had to go through that. I know exactly what you are saying about just block the chat. And really just in my opinion ppl. that think they are telling these ppl. to settle down is just adding fuel to their fire. Thats what they want your attention and others. Yes, it bothers me a great deal to see ppl. get treated that way, but ev1 should ignore the idiots! I know i didn't offer any solution to your problem. I just understand where you are coming from. You are a great guy, DO NOT LET THE JERKS GET TO YOU!

i must admit tht i never see banter on the ring tables bad enough to report really...although there was one night last week where i along with about 5 or 6 others were becomming annoyed with this one person (pitbull) it is annoying, but u kno in the long run as cuddy pointed out- it's u who'll be claiming the "idiots" chippies sit with friends m8, u'll find it easier to deal with em if u've got back up

No Bounty I have not sent a PM to anyone, sorry. I understand mod's are limited in what they can do to non OP members. I think we should have some colour coding for OP66 members, names could be written in blue or green or something to distinguish them. I would like to see some self policing on the tourament tables at least. Other members could say something rather than just sitting back but I can understand why most wont.

Anyhow, only few days left before the change. Hope it all goes well.

Daddysean, you can name me as the 'person' who said 'play nice boys', cos i dont care if you do. I say these things because they are waiting for you to get angry and irrate with them, and if you follow mine and other peoples advice and ignore them and just 'play nicely' with the friends you have at the table, they will get the message eventually that we dont care about them. Just take their chippies and block chat !! Simple to do, we all have players that get our goat up, ive blocked players this way as have many others.

I am not having a go at you or anyone else for that reason crinks. Before I was moved to your table I endured this guy on the previous one and was called everything under the sun. I did not return any comments to him as you know. I am trying to do the correct thing by not stoking the fire, but why should I sit back and let this guy abuse me when I am trying to relax and enjoy myself?

Thanks scouse (hope you dont mind that?) I know there are many many good people on OP and the majority of offenders are "outsiders".
ExhaustP, I wish it was as easy as you make out but when you are getting called a C**t, Pr**k, Motherf*****, etc...no one else talks. The table just dies. Anyone who speaks out just becomes another target.
