also dont want anyone to take it that im causing a argument. just my personal opinion.

but can someone explain to my why elvis is the "king" my music taste vaires from classical to relatively modern. elvis was way before my time. for lack of a better way of putting it i cant see what all the fuss was about. to me. he was a ok singer with something new and good PR, when everything else was the same.

if anyone thinks im just putting a downer on something say so and i will remove the post.

no m8 no downer at all each to his own,
elvis was inducted in to 5 music halls of fame ,you dont get that kind of standard by being just an ok singer.
lots of younger people start to listen to elvis and like what they here,but as i said each to his or her own

what i meant by ok singer was at the time i think there were better singers. maybe not better performers. cant argue with the stats can i but if you look alphabetically at the rock n roll hall of fame ABBA is top. which suggest you just have to be popular.

I think also you have to take into consideration the influence that he had on many artists (Including the Beatles) as well as his own ability. To me his early Rock & Roll standards were an institution. I'm not a big fan of a lot of his later work, but I dont think you can argue against the title of the King.

wasnt his music sourced from blues players? its the title the king i cant get my head around. one man getting all the credit, surely he had musical influences? its a fact he is the biggest selling artist of all time.( maybe this answers my own question )
