life after norton

iv had norton anti virus for the past year but it runs out soon. wasnt overly impressed by norton. slows my pc down. can anyone else recommend any free anti virus programs?

I've used the FREE AVG anti virus for the last 5 years without any problems.

used AVG before there was a reason i deleted it but cant remember why

I use free avast antivirus found it very gd upto now..no problems..just have to remove and install again after 30 days...

iv had avast in the past too. all it seemed to do was point out problems then tell me i need to buy it to fix them

I use avast..used to use norton and another one that I paid for...never had a problem with avast.

Have tried Avast, AVG and Norton over the years.

Both Avast and AVG are great for free programmes -- Norton used to drive me crazy when I had it years ago but I am currently using it again on the recommendation of some IT 'professionals' and so far (3 months) it has been fine.

These same pros or nerds preferred Avast over AVG for a free programme.

Been using free AVG here for years and had no problems at all. It even decodes the **** **** in the table chat windows !!!..............OK I might be exaggerating but it is a good program

Im on the new Norton 2011 Pack Dads..and been spot on,and half price at mo
