I think its time I checked the TOS again, just in case they have changed too.

Well Bass, I think you got this totally wrong unless this is in the rule books somewhere. She was nominated again by a different person and by the looks of it is still well liked by many on OP. She was nominated in January 2009 and won and the fact that she gets nominated again by someone is a testament to her likability here on OP and the friends she has made. Don't take that from her and anyone else that gets into the same position. I can see back to back months being restricted but to say this now............

Surely it is up to the members to decide the nominations for MOM, why the need for a rule change ? are you saying that is ok to be entered for a race but your not allowed to win it ? I think it is quite rude of you to say that Crinkle is self centred, she did not put herself forward she was nominated by another member.

i know this may seem like a wast of a post but just to say this is the 1st time im not going to vote as i realy cant diside who to vote as that all gr8 mebers of op 66 in there owne way and the place wouldent be the same with out anyone of them so win or not all 4 of you are already winners in my book

and on a difrent note many pepol including myself have been up more the 1 time i know i only won 1 time but why is it ok to be put up lots of time unless you win ?????

I am not taking anything from Crinkle62. I does appear she is a well liked person and honestly I do not have a bad thing to say about the member. There are a lot of members who would like to be on the poll, nominated or not. I am saying that I think if you won once that is testament to your "popularity" on the site.
Yes I have been nominated and won the poll. I also was nominated again but respectfully declined the nomination.

Yes it is up to the members to whom they decide to nominate, thats why Crinkle62 is still on the poll. As stated above what is the point in winning more than once? Therefore a rule change will be in place for the next poll (s).

There was a plan in place for the people on the Hall of Fame and if I have a person on it more than once I will have to change or eliminate the plan. The people on it now that are now removed from the site already presents problems.

Wow. I thought 'Awards' such as the Member of the Month were a feelgood type of award. Seems like my perception was just a tad naive.

Being relatively new to the site I am not aware of the site's 'political' issues but it would seem to me that if the rules are silent on the matter or lack sufficient clarity then it is hardly the fault of the nominator or the nominee.

To progress from there to name-calling/labelling nominees as self-centred' is totally uncalled for.

Hope I never get to the stage when I am popular enough or well- known enough to be nominated for this.

I would have thought an apology here was too much to ask for, beating round the bush is all that ever happens.
I am not SELF-CENTRED, i have also been nominated previous to my january win on a couple of times and since !!!!!!! but would always 'decline' in a much more civilised way than that suggested by Bass!!!

Quikflik, i voted for you for reasons which im not going to display here, but suffice to say, the comments you wrote hurt!!!!...so thanks for that!

If this SELF-CENTRED person i call CRINKLE, was informed of the 'cock-up' earlier or even BEFORE the poll was opened by BASS, (as he knows names as they are put forward), i would probably have apologised to my nominee and asked to be taken out of the poll. So, instead, good luck to everyone in the poll, and IF i win, you can keep my name out of the HALL OF FAME if it makes you feel better.
