This thread has become embarressing to me. To many cheap shots taken at fellow members who I thought had gotten along but I guess I was wrong. I thought all the nominees were warranted to be nominated, and now have to retrack my earlier comment on good luck all to the deserving members. Ms Stunner, I have to agree with you that it is bothering some people here of Crinkle's friendship with so many that they want to undermine her presence here. I have been around long enough in different situations (not talking about online poker sites-talking about the real world) that knowing Crinkles as little as I do, it will only strenghten her position here on OP.

Lets all act like adults or at least 18+ years of age here and start respecting each other again.

Sorry Bass I am still not happy with what you have said or what you are proposing to do.
I too have looked at the previous polls and find that Funky G has been nominated 5 times and may I add that I for one am glad for him as he is a popular member, Roo has indicated that he and other members have also been nominated more than once.
Crinks has been nominated 4 times, yet you choose to defame her for being self centred.
IMHO you are imposing your thoughts on how the competition/poll should be conducted or has any other member complained about the structure or nominees ?
I do think you are due the lady an apology.

Only a very few people on this site deserve to be given the title of 'Member of the Month', Crinkle is certainly one of those people. This wasn't meant to be a popularity contest surely? But a way for OP66 members to publicly recognise those fellow members who really contribute to the site in any way. Crinkle's sunny attitude, helpfulness, pictures, table banter and damn right cuteness has seen many an OP66er through their darkest hour or just off day. She contributes to the 'family' feel of the site and imo deserves to be in the 'Hall of Fame' every month

she is the most helpfull and kind member i know on this site

if members being nominated and winning mom hinder the plans and rules of this competition all you had to do was let us know earlier and we would of understood

but calling crinkle self centered is out of order
i too feel you owe this fine lady an apology and maybe think a little more on how you phrase yourself could hurt others

i dont usualy declare who i vote for on the forum but this month i will
it was crinkle without a hesitation


i too have been nominated more than once and now that i know the rules (kind of)i wont be accepting anymore nominations if asked

For all that want an apology from me here it is: Sorry for expressing MY thoughts here like everyone else did.
What is the reason for trying to win more than once on the poll if not for their own reasons? There were a few members nominated but declined since they already won the poll, guess what their reasoning was:
"I would rather let some else have a chance to win it". As far as being nominated poll after poll and not winning I don't see a problem with it. BUT as stated earlier once you win you win, whats the point after that to try to win?

if crinkle is popular and people want to nominate her then why not she gets my vote and so what if it is more than once shes polite and a good laugh and a lot people like her wished i was as well liked and those are my thoughts.

It was a prelude as to why the rule change after this poll. I keep a lot of thoughts to myself concerning members on this site.it I surely am not saying that Crinkle62 is not worthy of winning but give me a break.

When this poll started almost a year ago it was not meant to be a popularity contest. It was in fact designed for members who contributed the most to the site, it seemed to change more in favor of who is more popular rather than the original idea.

With all this credit things etc How abouts we start a member of the month.....
We could all nominate a member each month and the mods get to choose the fairest and best player based on chips,
posted threads etc.....??
They maybe could get a certain tourney named after them for the month ?? and a t-shirt ?? or something ???

i dont think Thebassmaster means 'self centered' as such. i think its a loose term...i HOPE its a loose term i do understand what he means tho..basically, if you know you are going to win with a 'whitewash' because you've done it before, then why not step back let somebody else have a chance? someone who you know wont have a chance while you're in it. i certainly do not believe that crinkle is self centered. crinkle knows we ALL love her and certainly doesnt need this poll to be ensured of that. whilst i agree with bass, on the fact that you should only be allowed to win once, i think the rule changing should have been kept quiet and done after this months poll. that way nobody's feelings would be hurt, coz that's not nice, trust me i've been there.

sal i love you to bits hun, but im certain of the way that comment was intended. We all have our opinions, and ive stated mine previously. I dont accept a nomination cos i think its gonna be a white-wash either, that would make me self-centred and a big head too, and im most definately not that either.

i just hope that any future nominee doesnt end up feeling like i do.

As you can see I already had to modify the rules to the Member of the Month poll before the start of the poll.
The poll is opened to all members
You can be banned but not on the month your on the poll, if so, you will be removed from the poll.
The mods do not have a say other than voting on the poll.
You can nominate a member anytime for the next months poll.
