When i first ever joined this site crinkle was one of the first people too talk too me and become a friend. she's definately not self centered and how you can insult someone and hurt there feelings i dont know she's so kind and friendly. and well liked as you can see gl crinkle xxx

one point that i think has been overlooked, though, and you touched on it briefly, MrsBass, when you said : Because he is a mod dont make him perfect. You are correct, it would be unreasonable for anyone to expect perfection. HOWEVER, as a moderator, wielder of authority and symbol of respect and admiration, there DOES exist naturally a higher standard of conduct and thoughtfulness. With that higher standard comes a certain elevated degree of responsibility for one's actions.

Speaking 'off the cuff' as it has been said, is in itself a mistake, i believe for ANY person in authority,.. you MUST realize the heightened impact and effect that one's words and actions have on the people that follow and look up to you. Second, it has been pointed out numerous times that these 'off the cuff' remarks have offended, insulted, and hurt quite a few people. Whatever the INTENTION was,, the REALITY is there, lying before you in 2 pages of posts: people were upset by this. And yet,.. as Fozzy said: it appears he is reluctant to give a clear and unambigous apology for that.

Please dont allow people online that you dont really know hurt you ...its UNREAL to me how offended people can be. Are we not all adults here? surely you can brush off a few misspoken words. I only hope that when you turn OFF the computer there is a real life and a real friend or real family member who TRULY knows you and trust the judgement of THOSE people and not the ones you have become aquainted with on the world wide wild web.

Its very hard to get an angle on all of this.While I would not be MrBasses biggest fan,he does have a good point.As a modorater of this site,he should have made his point in a different manner.A modorater must be impartial at all times regardless of his personal views on a fellow member.Fair play to him,he is trying to make the MOTM more accessible to the lesser members of this site.Could anyone honestly say that when they look at the nominees that they could not see a winner from the very start..Crinks will always win any MOTM poll and there are a few more members that will always be in the same position.King Pete will always win and so would Buddah...Everyone on this site loves these people.Crinks asked me a couple of weeks ago to apologize for a jokey type thing I put up in a tread.I wont go into that,but I did apologize,not only in the forum,but too herself in a PM.She as I knew she would do,sent me a PM saying it was her that should apoligize to me for taking it too seriously.....The one thing I would take from all this is the posts from MrsBass.She knows that her husband handled this wrong and tried to right his wrongs.While trying to appease everyone,she still defended her husband.Who here would not defend the ones they love.I know new rules are going to be put in place for next months poll and they are needed badly.Whatever the rule changes are,I will be nominating MrsBass,that is of course if she will except it...It seems to have calmed down now,which is great.........

Can we please get this back to what is the most important thing and that is the members of the poll. They are all great candidates, why does it seem so much that people forget that it is an honor to even be nominated.

If my husband were the "witch" as depicted here I would be the FIRST person to light the match to burn him. I dont stand up for that kind of stuff. I love my husband but by no means do I defend deliberate wrongness. Not even my CHILDREN get away with that stuff. If you take notice to the lack of nominees this month I would assume that as soon as we saw Crinkle up there we decided not to nominate as who would have no chance at winning. I personally decided not to put a name in for that very reason.

Wrong as he may be.. it was mearly a bad choice of words. Not a deliberate hate message. He realized that the lack of nominations were because Crinkle was sure to win it.. felt bad for possible nominees that could have had an opportunity to win. His dissapointment got the better of him. I may be trying to right his misspoken words but thats about it. I let him take his lumps .. thats how it goes sometimes.

In that case then why hold a MOTM in the first place I was lucky enough to be nominated and had no chance of winning because Kingpete was sure to win it that month yet that was allowed to go ahead so the above reason makes no sense. I am not saying this because I didnt win KP deserves a medal every month for all the work he does.

Also know one knows whos been nominated apart from the nominee and nominators until the thread is opened.

I'm sorry MrsBass, but i dont think that because my name was up for nomination is the reason poll should be as low in numbers. There was only 2 names even on the poll way before i was asked to be a nominee, plus the poll was late in being started so there was plenty of time before i was added to have had other names on. I dont really mind whether you do or dont back your husband, all i know is that he had no right calling me what he did, and i dont accept that it was an 'off the cuff' remark, because as i mentioned before, this is not the first time this has happened to me. An apology to me, is obviously asking too much, which is a shame because politeness and the ability to acknowledge mistakes goes a long way, especially in the roles that you two so seemingly enjoy having, its just a shame that people skills was one of the assets not needed for it.

Good for you Crinkle's. I back you on your statements above 150% Maybe we should start are own poll here called, "Peep of the Month" that would accept any nomination without regards to sex, creed, nationality or moderator comments. Rules, not many but there would be a few that would eliminate poisen pills like what has happened here. Yes, I am jesting on this to make a point.

MOM or no MOM, you are truly a nice person Crinkles and deserve more than what you recieved here. As to the other nominees, you are also nice people and should be honored to have been nominated as I have never been asked. After this, I would probably never accept if by chance I was asked to accept a nomination for MOM.

agreed. Ya there is really popular people on this site like King Pete, Buddha, Crinks, etc but at the same time they do a lot for this site. King Pete rocks and always gives out really nice medals for opp tournys even fourth place. That is really special and he helped me lots with outlaws. Like Cat when I was nominated the month Buddha was in the poll I was pretty sure he was going to win but I was honored to even be nominated. That just seems to get lost somewhere. That people on this site would feel that I was deserving of being mom is a real honor. Buddha won as well he should have he does a lot for this site. STL people and please lets keep the peace and remember it is about the nominees that it the most important thing right now.

Wow .. the sweetest person on here and 45 people have voted to prove it. However, the insults fly.. I have people skills. Why the attack on me. I havent said a single negative word against you. Just trying to put some perspective on the fact that this is so blown out of proportion its unbelievable. I thought for sure when the "cheeky lil minx" reality came to light people would get the message. You really dont know who anyone is or isnt. Its a poker site. Lets not hold a candle light vigil over it. Are you truely losing sleep over it??

So why is it so hard to say sorry? Or are some people here above it all. It would have been done ages ago, if that took place. And I think you are wrong about knowing who some people are or aren't. Yes, you have to have your guard up but generally speaking, most people are nice and are truthful.

No, I am not losing sleep over it and I don't think anyone else is either. The only thing I am losing, is the respect of some (a very small number)people here on this site.
