Murder Who Done It

man was found murdered on sunday morning. The wife immediatly called the police and they rushed over. When they came the police investagated everyone in the house and asked them what were they doing at the time of the murder. He got this amount of information.

The butler was walking the dog
The maid was getting the mail
The chef was cooking
And the tailor was sewing

The police immediatly arrested the murderer.
But how did they know who was the murderer and why?

i would say it was the butler because if they can afford the butler,maid,chef,tailor ...then they would be able to afford a dog walker too
