This play is getting out of hand as I have stopped playing for a while. Can't count the number of times that I was one of the high stacks at the table/tourney and get taking down this way. I am just sick and tired of it. Might as well play roulette

I hear ya tatt, got to the point where I only know a handful of ppl on the tables and more and more tomatoes have taken over and play bingo on everything now. Just not the fun it used to be here! And is it just me or does it seem that way to a lot as the tables have gotten awful quiet.

I don't see why you can't name the person you were playing and who made such a play? If I was playing the same table or watching from the side could I name the people involved?
If people know they will be talked about for playing "silly" maybe they will stop with the all-in preflop?
As long as you don't get too personal about the player, I don't see any problem in outing the people who spoil it for everyone else.
As I say, without being rude about the other person. Just state the facts, let everyone else make their own decisions.

it was horrible he kept going all in with 7 2 off suit and winning.

i couldnt take it anymore i had to vomit.

my whole life flashed before my eyes and i went into a coma.

doesnt this crazy man know that free poker tournament is my whole life.

I agree....calling all in with a 2-4 preflop is a bad play....but pushing all in with an A-J is not the greatest play either...keep in mind that I have no idea what the stack sizes were...

I was at tatts table and witnessed the stupid PLAY with 2 4 and the next hand the same player did the same thing with a marginal hand and took us both out. Pokers fun right.....

Is this thread serious -- if so what an absolute over-reaction in some posts.

These are virtual chips and virtual medals we are talking about. It really isn't life and death stuff.

If someone were to go all-in with a 2,4 against A,K I would take that every time. The small percentage of times he/she would win would be swamped by the wins for A,K. But of course we only remember the bad beats and complain about them.

I can understand the frustration on the ring tables where the 'all-inners' don't care because they can recharge immediately without penalty but in tournaments or real money tables there is a real penalty.

We have had threads recently where people have been told not to say gg or nh etc and now we have people preaching their version of stake play.Who appoints guardians of the poker table especially when these players being complained about are playing within the rules (and spirit) of the game. I have much more of an issue with people admitting deliberate late registration to get an advantage -- within the rules I know but within the spirit -- don't think so.

I don't play the 'all-ins' but I don't have a problem with players who do so - they are playing a risky game and one which on most occasions will cost them.

Just out of interest, the hand that Reaper referred to earlier in this thread was one against me. Reaper went all-in pre-flop with 7spades 2clubs and I checked with a pair of 10's. Reaper won the hand with two pair. Is that a problem for me -- no -- he took the punt and won. My problem would be if he were here in this thread being sanctimonious and hypocritical about people doing the same.

I think posting a hand history is a great idea, it gives everyone a chance to analyse a hand and if it is a bad beat from a player who continually plays badly, then we are all able to make notes and adjust our play in the future if need be
