my 2 year old cat called denis was run over on tuesday.his head was crushed by the stupid taxi driver who just drove off.it gets me annoyed that some people don't give a toss for animals and their owners.we can all get done for animal cruelty but what about when they get run over is that not cruel.i love cats and have had quite alot but i wont be getting anymore coz its just so heartbreaking when something like this happens.i hope the taxi driver has a few hard times.they think they own the roads

So sorry to hear about your puddy cat Tracey, My heart goes out to you. Hopefully Denis will find Cuddy and they can both watch us playing from cat heaven.

As for the driver, they have to report if they hit a dog so why not cats! Cat Owners love their cats as much as dog owners love their dogs call me a cynic or has it something to do with the fact that a dog leaves a bigger bump on the car and they need an incident number to claim on their insurance.

aaawww tracey im sorry to hear whats happened. Its a terrible thing to happen and even worse that the taxi drive just drove off.

many years back one new years eve i was out walking my dog Roxy and unfortuneatly she got ran over by a man driving home. Poor Roxy died in my arms. It was terrible accident no more than an accident so i wasnt too mad with the man. But a week later he rang me asking for compensation for the damage to his car. Some people just have no compassion whatsoever.

I ran over a cat once and i saw it roll out from under the rear of my car. I got out to check on it but it had gone. A women who came out to see what happend siad that cat has probably gone off to die somewhere, i felt obsolutely awfull. If i had known whos cat it was i would have siad a massive appology and gave them compensation, and not the other way round.

i never considered myself a cat lover untill i took ownership of my now lovely jessie. Before i took ownership of her she had quite a misserable life. Her jaw was broken by some young children when she was a kitten and when i first saw her she was with my ex-girlfiends mother and riddled with fleas. i said to my girlfirend we are having her. After slitting up with my girlfriend i refused to give jessie back. Shes still with me and we enjoy every moment together. shes so much healthier now and i would be heartbroken if such a horrible thing happend to her. I feel for you, Tracey.

There are some people who just dont give a toss for animals and dont realise that pets are part of a familily. When things like that happen it really upsets me.

it upsets me 2 future.sorry about your dog im so glad i wasnt there to actually see it,i saw what he did to him as he was in the side street.it was extremely upsetting to see him like that.he was only a tiny cat poor little thing.i burried him in the back garden.they should change the law some people think well he was only a cat but to me he was part of my family for 2 years day in and day out who got looked after very well.

Same thing happened to me Tracey,my Harvey a huge cat i had rescued and had for 3 years was hit by a car...in a sleepy little estate..
People saw the driver stop,have a look then drive away...
A neighbour banged on my door and i went out,i took off my shirt to wrap him in...
I dont think i have ever been so upset in all my life..

Im so sorry Hun but as Cuddy says im sure they all get to play in heaven

so sad tracey, know how you are feeling. ISo sad to loose a pet feel like they are part of the family. I myself am not a cat lover but I wish cat owners would have to tie them up like I had to with my dog and then just maybe so many cat owners would not be loosing their pets. I know I have almost hit a few myself. I know the ppl across the road leave there pet out all nite even in the middle of winter. Had to tell them to put it in at nite as it has been sleeping on the hood of my new care to keep warm, poor thing, but unfortunetly it is scratching the paint plus I think that is so cruel to just let a pet roam. The least that man could have done is oppologize.

sorry 2 hear that hunn...i sat up all night.when billy was bad.did not think he would make it ..wi dog hes ma pall ..growels at me loves mrs and my daughters ..hates me and ma son...he s still here wi us still growel at me. his most love is ma lady most .gutted i cuddled him all night .coz i love dog most..glad hes ok just hope he no bites me ..lol

so ya'll gonna crucify me if I tell u I ran over a cat many months ago ..I was so sad and could not stop shakin at time, but I could not stop 45 mph car in time to save kitty .. one of those horrible times in life when I wished kitty owner did not let kitty run loose

Very sorry to hear Tracey as a pet owner also my cat toby is part of the family and to loose her would be devistating.
I'd have no identity on here for one. I'd be lost.
