| Visited NY a few years back, needed two weeks at least but only had one. Best things - Niagara falls day trip Museum of natural history walking the streets at 4am suffering jet lag. World Trade Center memorial John Lennon memorial and Central park Worst things - hawkers for comedy shows, bus trips etc restaurant owners/staff hassling for bigger tips drink prices at the bar - bottle shops cheap though. |

| hi guys ![]() that's me home tae Scotland. What a great week in NY ![]() Thanks Maz for your post, i managed to read it before i left. Jim - spot on with your worst things m8, those ny sightseeing guys in there yellow and red jackets hassling us to buy bus tickets everyday like 10 times, there were like 5 of them on each street corner!!!! + those comedy guys were mega annoying!!!! never tiped once whilst over there - the people are doing there jobs so no need to tip them, i dont get any extra money each month for doing my job (work in an office in glasgow city centre). our hotel was basically bang on times square ![]() the underground was a tad confusing to be honest, only used it the one time. we done alot of shopping, a 3hr boat trip round the hudson river and went passed the statue of liberty, visited ripley's believe it or not museaum, went up the empire state builiding at 11pm, was FREEEEEZING up top, SHREK THE MUSICAL was FANTASTIC!!!! 7 rows from front dead centre aswell . Wee horse ride around central park also.i also treated myself to a nice pair of new boots for $145.00 from Zara hehe. oh, i also got my hair cut ALOT shorter on the Friday before i left for NY - still getting used tae it, might put a pic of my new hair-doo later on in the week lol anyway it's good to be back ![]() Denham |

| woop woop denham .. I'm sure they luved ur accent as all US folks do! My gr8 grandpa was an Irish immigrant who became an actor and director during the silent movie era in NY, and my grandma was born and raised in NY. I do so luv NY. I haven't been back since ground zero in 2001, but find NY a phenominal place to visit. Hope you loved it half as much as I do. and... cannot wait to see the haircut lol.
