Please accept my apology

In the last couple of days an exchange between myself and another member has turned into something that was completely unintended by either of us. The person in question is one of my favorite people on this site.

Here is the deal: In real life I am a very analytical person that can often be too critical. I have a very good sense of humor and I have no problem laughing at myself. However, the analytical and critical parts of my personality sometime get the better of me. I can usually get away with my strange sense of humor in person where I can accompany it with smiles, laughter, gestures and expressions. However, on a computer site such as this it is very difficult sometimes to provide that accompaniment. I often get myself in trouble with e-mails and such. I have known that it would just be a matter of time before I said the wrong thing at the wrong time.

That time has come. I am completely devastated that I could have caused anyone any discomfort on this site, especially someone who I like so much. Please forgive me.

This is also addressed to any one else I may have unknowingly victimized with my comments. I apologize. In the future I will try to think before I type. Never done that before (smile) but I will try.

For the record the few times I have talked to M80, he has been pleasant. I really took the other thread as some kind of joke. Cause for one thing Sally is a great person and would hope if someone truly had a problem with her or someone else they would have enough respect for themselves and be man/woman to speak to that person one on one. So with that said I do hope that whom ever the apology is for will accept it.

m 80 you are a gent m8 on and of the table and we all have different senses of humour if you have upset someone just give them a pm and explain im sure you already have,we are worldwide here and thats what makes this place good different opinions from around the globe peace my friends and lets get back to some good poker

M80, I saw the thread you are referring to, and I as well took it as a joke.
I guess we have the same sense of humor. I myself have never seen you as anything but a great guy.

Since we have all different personalities, and come from numerous nationalities, not all will see eye to eye. I think it is very honorable of you to apologize publicly like this, and I hope it will be accepted. I know you meant no disrespect.

I have always found you to be not only one of the better players on OP66 and an absolute gentleman on the tables. I can not believe for one minute that you would have any intent on causing any offence.

although this was an apology to an anonymous person, i see my name has been mentioned and so i feel i must post in public although you and i know this has been sorted out in private.
there is no apology needed M80, exept from me. i am sorry for taking your post in the wrong context, at the time it didnt seem very funny, but usually, even when things arent funny, i still smile...this time i didnt. i snapped at you and walked away from the site...and had a think. in doing this i realise that i prolonged your upset in offending me, that was not my intention at all and i will apologise for that also. but aswell as apologising, i want to thank you. i want to thank you for making me take that step back that i needed. At the time of your post, and the reason i had snapped so quickly, i had been hurt beyond belief by someone who i classed as one of my oldest friends on here...one of the 'old school' gang with whom i always felt there was an unbreakable bond. i have now realised, unfortunately maybe, that this bond is nowhere near as strong as i thought, as i had hoped. As this realisation crept up on me, traumatically may i add , i came to the decision to stay away from this forum...THIS IS NOT A DIRECT RESULT OF WHAT YOU SAID TO ME M80..this is a decision that you helped me come to, and one that i needed to come to. so i am actually glad that this happened. i am just sorry that your feelings got hurt in the process...so, i refuse your apology because its not necessary and offer my own to you, along with my thanks for making me see the light...i have been here a helluva long time and i guess the cobwebs were blocking my view.
so on this note i will leave you, and everyone else on this forum, i will pop in from time to time and check on my pm's but i will not post and then everyone can live in peace

i'll see you on the tables sometime...
