Poker buddies

Hey just wondering if other people are the same...
I have a group of mates that i call my poker buddies and majority of the time we meet up (average 2 days a week) is to play poker whether it'd be at a local tavern or over a mates place...
but the thing is my close friends have never met them before.

I took a gamble ( you could say) and introduced my close friends to the poker buddies, one close friend in particular wanted to learn how to play poker so i did the right thing n tried to teach her at a home game.... but the thing is that it seemed like she didnt want to learn that night...
and i kinda felt that.. what was the point then?
I felt that i was between 2 different group of friends.... and not sure if i want to try n mix them again. Guess the only good thing is that when i'm talking about them they now both can put faces to names now....

Well thats my story so i was curious to know.... does anyone else have poker buddies that are completely seperate group of friends from your others? Have you tried to mix the 2 before?

have the same group that i play with all the time not interested in ny more, sounds mean but those i know i enjoy so there u are

theres poker people and non poker people...i can totally relate with you... i recommend enjoying both separately unless the non poker friends join the dark side lol

I have friends that I play poker with, but we also do other things together as well.

That said, I do have a few other groups of friends that I do hang out with and I've learned not to mix them. Each group has it's own personality and sense of humor that doesn't always mix well with the others.

I have poker buddies, but I keep my other friends separate. My poker buddies are all men, so it all works out.

yeah mine are all guys as well lol i'm the only gal that hangs out with them on a regular basis.... its pretty kewl but yeah its good to hear i'm not the only one ^.^

I would say keep your poker buds and your friends separate. Just on the fact that if your friends dont play poker they shouldnt,lol
