You cant judge hundreds of thousands on a handful of misguided individuals. The club has already stated that they will ban all members responsible.

fair comment but dont you think that the club not allowing poppy sellers in the ground contributed to the actions of the "few " ?

Celtic dont allow sellers of any merchandise for charity or not other than official club merchandise on the grounds.

The Green Brigade do this year after year. "The club has a strong Irish Catholic heritage and some supporters, from a faction called the Green Brigade, refuse to support the poppy appeal.

Known for demonstrating support for Irish republicanism at matches, the group claims the legacy of recent British actions on foreign soil means the poppy now symbolises murderous imperialism."

It has nothing to do with Celtic banning the poppy sellers or the vast majority of Celtic fans who have been posting on the clubs messageboards that it should be up to the individual if they want to wear a poppy or not and if people dont want to do the minutes silence they can just enter the grounds later,

Its members of this group intent on creating publicity for their cause hopefully it will backfire on them and people will show their repugnance for their actions.

Whether you agree with the wars past and present or not there is no denying that there are brave men and women who have been, or are out there who deserve our respect and gratitude.

I have a 'thing' about the sale of poppies, it may be a bad thing, I don't know.
What happens to the money? lol I'm sorry, I ask this because, both of my grandfathers fought in these wars, for this country, and yet neither of my nanna's receive or did receive any benefits from this - so where does it go? Neither were entitled to a 'war widow's pension' and they certainly never received any help from any outside resource through poppy sales, so why are we supposed to buy them again? To build a war museum? I apologise for my ignorance, but I have never known anyone to have received any help through these sales, so what are we supposed to be contributing to when we buy them?
