Proud Parent

My daughter (age 11) has just had her school report and I am so proud of her.
Thought I'd share the teacher's final comments with you all...

To parents:

Gemma is an energetic and friendly young lady. She has shown excellent progression in all her curriculum subjects this year and is working significantly above expected levels in all subjects. She is an articulate and mature writer and has produced some wonderful, creative stories. She has easily picked up very difficult concepts in maths. Gemma has a real talent in drama and music and it is a pleasure to watch and listen to her.
Gemma’s work is always neat and well produced. She has produced work of very high quality. She is a conscientious and diligent worker. Gemma always hands homework in on time and practices her spelling. Her attendance is excellent. Gemma is impeccably behaved and has wonderful manners. She is a real pleasure to teach. She is a very active and enthusiastic member of school and a wonderful role model to others.
I will miss Gemma very much, but she is ready to move on to Secondary school, where I have no doubt she will excel, just as she has at Thornhill.
I wish her the very best.

To child:

Gemma – it has been a real honour for me to teach you. You are a confident, hardworking, creative and polite young lady. Your results reflect how hard you have worked in our school. You give 100% effort to every task and always have a great attitude. Your short writing task in the SATs about the busy market place was probably one of the best pieces of writing I have ever read – it was truly fabulous!
You are an active member of school life and have been involved with lots of extra curricular activities. You have represented the school at many competitions and have been a wonderful role model and ambassador for our school. You are a very talented young lady but I particularly hope you will develop your skills in writing, music and drama.
Good luck for secondary school and the future. Keep in touch with school, so we can hear about all your brilliant achievements. You have a very bright future ahead of you. To say I am going to miss you is an understatement.

thts quite touching cptn sandy, u must be real truly proud of tht report lots of +ve feedback there, i always got 90% good but had tendancies to misbehave and i dont see anything -ve at all in there!
