ok, buddha and myself have been talking whilst enjoying some nice bingo at a table and have decided something.

For the largest social group on the forum to have a team of people who can maintain it - become group mods if you will.

The mods may not be for a specific purpose, and to you and I no different, but there for the assistance of the newly appointed head when necessary.

BUT WHO'S TO BE THE APPOINTED HEAD???

as buddha wont take the job back directly, he thought a poll should be necessary, so that all members can vote for who they think would make the suitable leader of STL.

So, who wants the job? Just post yer comment underneath for participation

and dont forget, STL is all for fun, no great deal of responsibility is needed

nice thread sir and as you say we think stl should be a democracy
the way the group system is set up stl has to have a head person
so who do you the stl members think it should be
also by prior knowlage the stl head job is time consuming so who do you suggest should be stl staff members if they choose to be
we would really like a broad spectrum of views so please make your selections known

Personally I think Dragon...he seems to be in every stl tourney I have played...and is so friendly and is the the first to welcome and congratulate ppl. when they get a good hand. JMO....

I wish I could join the BEST tourney on site everyday... Anyone that takes this should be honored to be in such a position.

you hit the nail on the head sc, makes me wonder who could fill the shoes of quackers and buddha, i don't want to post suggestions coz i dont want anyone else to do it

I know ducks cant do it because of commitments , so , I would like either buddha or thinkgreen to do it as both of them are great members of the site and think of the players and the game first.

I PMed ducks asking exactly that question.

Taking nothing away from Thinkgreen, I nominate Buddha for this job. I feel Thinkgreen probably has his hands full with The Good Time Lounge, while Buddha has always been a great head of STL.

For group moderators I would suggest that anyone who is nominated for head should automatically become a mod.

I also suggest that regardless of nominationsinkgreen, Dragon, Cuddy, Ducks and Ulti should be considered for the posts of moderators. They are all active and popular members of STL and I believe that any or all of them would be a great asset to the group.

My suggestions are, of course, open to discussion.

For what it's worth here's my 2 cents worth...

Seeing as though this group was started on the FIRST script I think it should be maintained by someone FROM the FIRST script...that is, anyone who joined between the date of inception of OP to 22 August 2008.

In saying that, if Quaks is unable to continue, then my vote has to go to our beloved Buddha

The main reasons being that everytime i've played is that they are usually on the table and its always fun! which is my understanding of STL group as a whole.

I'm a relatively new member so shouldn't really have much of a say but Buddha got me to join and if he still wants the job that is good enough for me. Maybe he could give me a few hints for The Grumpy Old Gits group I just set up lol.
