Ring tables are the ones that people can enter and leave as they choose, versus tournament play, which has a beginning, and an end.

I would like to see people being booted off a table if they haven't played so many hands for a certain amount of time.
I have done it a few times and felt really bad when I got tourney points and I hadn't been there all tourney.
The people that make the effort to play from start to finish deserve a better chance at scoring tourney points. I'm sure no one does it on purpose, there fore I doubt anyone will mind. Say after 5 hands and after time bank has been used up the next hand you are removed from the tourney.
I am sure there is a technical term for it LOL I just don't know it.
I hope I make sense

Seksay, FOLDING is the best way to not lose chips. The rules of the game state that a player may fold as often as they wish. If the other players in your game do not have the ability to control their chiploss to a point where you are put out by blinds and antes before they are put out by betting, then they fully deserve to be out before the person who never takes a pot. It poses no inconvenience to other players, and it speeds up game play. If the day ever comes when a player on POST AND FOLD actually wins the tournament, then all other players should feel very ashamed.

How about a multi-table knockout tournament? For example, registration is held open until 36 players are registered (or other appropriate number) who are then seated at six 6-seater tables. Each operates like a STT until there is a winner at each table and these are then moved to the final table to play off for an overall winner. Prizes for the tournament could be split between the final six.

Ok, here's the ultimate in suggestions. It would be totally awesome if on every NL Table, the User Name of whoever has the highest amount of chips on the table could appear in the Center of that table or somewhere clearly visible as long as they're the chip leader on that table. Being a programmer myself, I know it's easily doable with an if then statement. LOL.

This reply is in response to Danzi's request to bring back 5%.

First off, please do not bring 5% back. As much as I enjoy playing poker here at 66, I truly do not have the time to play as much as I'd like and with the 5% rule, it kinda kills the spirit knowing you've lost some of your hard earned chips.

However, since Danzi is one of the people who have Oober Millions of chips, maybe that rule could be applied to the super rich and not have an effect on people with 10Mil and below.

I personally don't mind letting someone have a few chips every now and then but please don't penalize us for being generous to the poker panhandlers, poker paupers, poker addicts.

They're just trying to get their fix.

How about a posting to credits system
How ever many characters you post you get 0.1 credit or something like that because some people spam and have no substance in each of their post and yet they have a huge amount of credits where as some people post not as much as them people but they post more characters because they're posts do have substance, surely they deserve more credits because technically they are posting more and this would be a fair way of doin so.

Like me? The majority of my posts are lengthy(ish) and aren't filled with spam. What you suggest is something that could also bring upon more spam, I could use stallers in every sentence I write. Not a bad idea though.

I no where your coming from but I belive a sytem like the one I suggested could work. I mean it wouldn't stop spam full stop I don't really think that is what I would want it to prevent, I would like it in place because I belive people who post more, deserve more. I'm not saying each of my posts are lengthy but I do post a fair few posts which are lengthy and I belive it would only be justice if I got more credits for it rather than gettin the same as someone who posts 'Yes, you are right but I don't know' or something stupid like that!
I mean I don't know how you can prevent spamming and as I said before this isn't why I would want this in place. But one really got to me before on a Boxing thread, someone posted 'I don't follow boxing, so I don't no', if you don't follow boxing then don't post on the thread!

sometimes i just dont get things that happen around here. First they reward you with credits for starting threads and posting, then they also reward you with titles like poker king and poker emperor, then they ban you if you post something that they consider "SPAM".I read the rules and spam is some thing that is mostly every thread here. they have a section that says post here everything outside of poker. but not spam WHAT!!!!
ISN'T EVERYTHING OUTSIDE OF POKER, SPAM??? tell a joke that people dont get "SPAM" I guess i just dont understand what it really is that they want from us.

Look up the definition of spam. No, it isn't everything outside of poker. In our case it would be post that are not relevant to the thread.

Perhaps something which would allow all members to change their user title. It could possibly be for the next month or so (as a holiday gift), or it could cost say 3,000 credits, 5,000 credits, whatever 'floats your boat'.

Hi Bass....I'm loving the new game "raining cards" but its a pain to find it in the forum. Can we have a link made up and put at the top of the page like the one for outlaws? Save alot of looking around to find it !!

Thanks

There is a sticky thread for falling cards in the General Discussion section of the forum.

It should always be near the top of the first page there.
