me personally always talk to ppl how i would expect ppl to talk to me.I'm always pleasant(and can be sarcastic) and do enjoy a laugh, but it is all meant in jest.I get what your saying sean, manners cost nothing,but as said b4,players may well know each other.i find the best way to treat ppl who are being rude is to ignore it and not rise to it (or sink to their level),it seems to wind them up more by you not answering, eventually they get the message and shut up or go into tilt mode and are gone soon enough

Ive run into a few rude players. I think the women on the site may have this problem happen to them more often. Some can get pretty rude to the female players. I can see the LOL as being poor sportsmanship. If i come across a rude player, i just "kill" them with friendliness. Most times they either become more pleasant or cant stand me and leave the table. Either way its a win win.

Hi Guv, as with others when chatting with friends there is no problem, but others on the table need educating unless earlier banter makes it difficult to understand???? When you or I play tourny, 90%+ of people on table we ALL know, but always a chance someone from other time zone decides to play, or NEWBIE.

DD I can say 100% hand on heart that you are the warmest people on this site and I defy anyone to disagree.
I do not want to try and change the way people play just ask for some respect. Same as YOU would like.

Tic, your post insults me. I did not insult you. How dare you say I show no manners! Don't show your ignorance. Live here and experience life before judging me please. I never said the whole country and its population was 3rd world, if I did, my wife and children and in-laws would have something to say about it. Not mentioning the business associates I have here.
Please think before speaking. If you knew this country you would know the difference in social structure.

Although the original point was of good a debatable nature I think it's now become more of a topic that should be dealt with via PM, Don't you ?

In any case I agree with most here when they say the table chat and LOL and what not is mostly just in jest, i don't say anything like that because I'm sometimes unsure weather or not the person I'm speaking to will take it as an insult, however i have been on the receiving end and have always noted that it's in jest ... seeing as it's followed by usually some sort of smily ... like .... and if I think it's not then i just don't respond, but i do agree foul attitudes aren't what this site is based upon so if you can't keep your attitude in check then try not to say anything at all

By your statement and how I read it, i'm afraid that is what you did, by my perception of what the 3rd World is/was.
I have no axe to grind with you. I merely pointed out what I would describe as a lack of manners in the use of comparison between persons/peoples in your statement.

Clark Air Force Base used to be the biggest US Military base outside the USA.
The US Navy has several bases here.
US Marines are secretly based in the South Islands of The Philippines training the army to fight the MILF. (no jokes)
The USA used to "rule" The Philippines, as did the Spanish.

So based on your definition, is the Philippines a First World Country?
