Default Thanks hackers.............................!!!!!!

sorry all but due to bank account hackers, i will probably be unable to make Amsterdam meet, and no doubt unable to go to New York to meet up with Tapit, or beyond this year either due to 2 bank accounts being hacked to the amount of £1,200 so far (i'm crap at maths!!).
One bank seem to be ok with funding money back but the other is dragging its feet and after much 'raising of voices' have finally decided to send a disclaimer but don't seem too interested in a refund!!!!!!
It might not seem much to some people, but to me it is, and the thought of someone doing this 'for the hell of it' makes me feel sick.

I know what it feels like hun, it happened to me about 6 months or so ago, they cleaned out about £800 from my account. If there had been more in it, I'm sure they would have had that too.

I was lucky though, my bank was great. They refunded everything within 2 working days.

Fight with the bank, it's your money they were supposed to be looking after.

Sorry to hear of yet another victim of ID theft.. the internet banking system is not as secure as the banks would like us to believe..and neither is the banking system as a whole.. keep pushing your bank crinkle..try to keep communication by letters and keep copies..

Thanks all for your words of support.
The worst part (if there is one!!), is one account i've NEVER used to pay anything to the 'receiver' either via internet or other means!!
All the money has gone to one company over a matter of months on a daily basis apparently, but because the account im having most probs with is one i rarely 'check' as i only use it for direct payments in and then it goes out to pay rent.....i don't use it for anything else.
It's all gone out to one company who i've been in touch with and i have a fraud reference number etc as they have no record of having any details of mine on file!, but they will do what they can their end!

Banks are useless Crinks, keep at them till you get justice, it's an absolute disgrace. My bank blew 6,000 pounds of my cash invested in a safe account, they gamble with your money and when they lose you are the one to suffer. I had 100 pounds in P P poker, someone hacked into the account and played in a sit and go and lost the lot, I never got it back.

Sorry to hear this news Crinks. 3K went missing from my mothers a/c last year. Bank fobbed her off, but she's one tenacious lady. She rang the police and the fraud squad got involved. All money was repaid by the bank within a month. As others have posted, keep at them. Best of Luck Fab

Sorry to hear this Crinks, hope it all gets sorted out without you being out of pocket.

Banks are a friend who lends you an umbrella, then asks for it back when it rains!

This happened to me a couple of years ago Crinks, they had me for £6000, but evntually after 18 days i got my money back. The only advice i can give is firstly report it to the police and get a crime number, then ring the banks fraud dept and tell them you have reported a crime and have a reference number and if they dont investigate, you will take it up with the banking ombudsman or further if need be, be firm and persistant, they dont so much fob you off, but drag their feet you have to keep on, then they will realise you are not giving up and hopefully then resolve the matter by crediting your account the monies you lost, but it does take time, hope this helps xx

ps,
i know this may be hard, but i no longer do any financial transactions on the internet, i dont pay for anything on a card, cash only ,which i either withdraw from my branch, and in an emergency use my hole in the wall card ,but only from my branch, but am still very wary, i look over my shoulder i cover the keypad and check the machine for a false front or any tampering,(some people must think i'm mad,but i dont care) once bitten twice shy i just dont trust the systems anymore
