You mean the normal army uniforms like light brown in iraq kind of ones?
Well to be honest I think they kinda suck, if it was upto me I would stop wasting money of third world country's and upgrade the military's armor to full bullet proof armor. It would be all black, made of light metal and it would protect the whole body not just the torso and I would introduce bullet proof masks. The armor would be in a demon or mythical creature design and would look intimidating. Can you imagine how great the British and American army would become if they all wore this type of armor? They wouldn't have to worry about been hit by normal gun fire and a lot less people would die.
There's no reason whatsoever this can't be done,if we stopped sending charity to other country's and stopped spending on needless research like 'green' plastic bags then I fully believe we can reduce the death rate of our troops by at least 50%.
It's a step into the future and having troops who have that fear factor would greatly improve the chances of ending any war.

I'm not too fond of the digital camo, it gives me a headach, but it does blend in with the surroundings quite nicely. love the new boots no more shinning. the helmets are nice so much lighter than what they had in Vietnam. i feel like the military has revamped most of the equipment, that is except most of the weapons,

Lilium i agree with the third world country thing, but full body armor would restrict movement and mobility and all black would stand out in the desert like a sore thumb. and for the demon masks our military's job is to help ourselves and to help cavilians not scare the shit out of them. yes the armor they wear is light but very strong. americas military is developing a system you might want to research a little it's called the LandWorrior system that is almost what you described but better.
