a bit harsh sandy!! However, that may be true in a few cases, but not all, I think that we've all become used to our player name and developed an attachment to it in that it's now part of our OP66 identity. In some respects it's like having to change identity and build an entirely new one. All change can be disturbing, especially if you feel as if you are losing part of yourself in that change.

i take that some of what you say is aimed at me you dont no me ive never moaned here ive been here the same amount as time as you i just feel that changing my name is not write some people like 2 you might be 1 of those so dont have a go at someone you dont even no ty

i fully understand your answer, geeez mines going too, not got a clue what to change it to.

Seriously I don't think anyone should leave because of a name change, I'll be changing mine by choice (i hate that goddamned '1') I think you should instead of seeing it as a bad thing and something that is taking away from who you are on this site, you should instead see it as a new script and new start. I'd personally feel flattered if someone already had my name tbh, but that's just me lol .

Plus with the avatars any name change would make you easily recognisable. Just play around witrh some ideas like

I'm one of the lucky ones that doesn't have to change mine..thank goodness! It would probably stress me out as much as it's stressing some of you all out. Trust me, I do feel for all of you that have to change your names, since they are our personal identities on here, and it will also be difficult for the rest of us to know who is who.


The best I would suggest though if it has to be that way, is to put your old names in your signature.
