Default Why i joined op 66:)

I joined OP 66 TO PLAY POKER. I didn't join this website as a social support network but DID JOIN TO PLAY POKER. Now, with that being said, I must say I get a lot of comic relief after reading the forum from a hard days work SO THANK YOU. I have met a lot of great people here at the tables. Great poker players, horrible poker players, lots of laughs etc. The people of the forum are great people but if they cry fowl and want to leave, then Leave. If I leave you won't see me posting a "Good-bye" because this isn't my support system. Real people are. If I decide to leave work (with real people) I tell them. It's baffeling to me. I don't mean to be rude but does this really matter in the whole realm of life??? We don't owe anyone on this website an explanation of our absense. I realize some of you have met each other and that's great. And if you state your not going to write on the forum anymore, and return 2 days later.....Really??? Words are golden. I understand why you might not have real friends because you don't even honor your words with the fake ones. Now I realize some of you might get offended by this post. I promise you I will sleep ok with whatever you say. Just keep it into perspective and LETS PLAY POKER. Oh, and if the mods deem to close this thread...have at it...it's yours. I truly mean no offense but wanting people to PUT THINGS INTO PERSPECTIVE

Lovechips xxxx I mean no offense. I realize people have met on here and are friends. When I have a problem with my friends, I'm on the phone with them or meeting them for coffee to get things worked out. I never put them on blast in a public forum so the question is how close are they really?? So, if they are friends in "real life" I highly recommend they get on the phone and make peace...or at least that is what I do with friends.

Hi Moonpiee, I agree with everything you say.
I joined OP66 to play poker.
On the first script there wasn't enough time to write on the forums because as soon as one game finished you were in a very short queue for another one.
After the chande-over the forum was a way to kill time whilst waiting for a game, it is quite addictive though and I find myself checking it many times during the day.
It is a lot quieter these days, but them some controversy usually pops and gets people over excited.
On your last point, yep, if you wanna go, just go - it doesn't need an announcement especially when you'll be back in a week.

Hear, Hear, Hear!!!

Very well said, Sharron!

Personally, I am not a fan of all these "farewell" messages either... I'd be the type to "fade into the sunset"... however, too many here of late are trying to dictate to OTHERS what they can or can't do (should or shouldn't, whatever the case).

Sharon, you are absolutely right. Well written (like usual). I swear you need to write books Was I somewhat intolterant, yes. Judgemntal, yes. Maybe that's something I need to look at. However, It amazes me the claim of all the friendships here and people tearing each other to shreds on am open format. Now, let's just take a look at X. Everyone knows we are real friends in life. We see each other almost on a daily basis. If someone here put him on blast (whether he was right or wrong), I would defend him. So, I get it but I wouldn't ever put him on blast personally. If I was upset with him, his phone would be ringing.

Don't get me wrong, I think the forum is one of the greatest assets to this sight. It allows me to read fun, sad, angry etc., things that aren't emotionally attached to me to help alleviate the "real problems" on the outside world. Just my perspective
