I don't know who luna is but if he is a she or if she is a he, I've been told that your are to never fold a 6 9 because you never know when the next will come!

Personally I hate AJ, never had much luck with them, based on my experience I wouldn't bet too much or go all in on them

What sort of hand would you be waiting for with less than 5 big blinds left ?

AJ seems the perfect opportunity to act first and get them all-in.

As I posted, I 'personally' have bad luck with AJ and avoid - No strategic advise in my post - just not surprised when AJ loses due to many bad experiences with these cards

Great advice

Yea Kev really sucks going out on the bubble, unlucky mate. In my opinion definitely the right play, and definitely would have expected the call (which I suspect you did too) if you were the short stack left in the game overall.

But if there was a shorter stack or stacks on the other table I would have folded, waiting for one of them to get busted out and at least get in the money. Having said that I have done exactly that myself before and come unstuck so it's a risky tactic.

Slightly different but similar situation yesterday playing the 50 Euro guaranteed. Paid 15 places and I was the short stack on the final table. The big chip leader was quite rightly raising almost every hand pre flop. I folded quite a few usually playable hands because there were 3 others also on stacks about my size. They were playing more hands than me, and not particularly good ones I'm glad to say , going all in with any picture card and rags and losing. This and 1 all in by me with 88 which doubled me up helped me scrape into 4th place.

Ironically enough I shoved with AJ off and lost I was happy with that but had it also been the bubble I think I would have needed a drink as well mate
