Think you played them both well. Liked the flop raise with AQ, and that said i dont like his re raise cos I dont see what he can possibly beat other than a flush draw.

Honestly people play so poorly at the stakes that it HEAVILY depends on your read of a player. Overpair (1st hand) or 2nd pair top kicker (2nd hand) could be monstrous favorites or monstrous dogs depending on who you're up against. A super loose player? yeah get your money in. A rather tight player, you might think twice. (and there are some here and there at those tables). You are obviously playing better hands preflop, and that's a huge stride in the right direction.

Yeah the guy I was up against on the first hand was pretty loose, seen him play mid pockets like they were the nuts a few times e.g. forcing someone all-in post flop with 6's, when the flop was something like A,Q,8...
I had a feeling he was trying it on me, so I saw his bet, alas he had the K

As for the second, well the ducks looked after me, saw I was behind and came to the rescue

So the guy from the first hand has an image as loose, maybe that is what he is trying to cultivate ??

If you think a player is loose, they are the most dangerous as you are more likely to get your chips/money in on a marginal hand and it is inevitable that sometimes they will have hit one.
