I thought it was a well played game by the ladies .... Unfortunately for the guys i must say it was a effort like our last one .
I saw guys taking out their teamates was quite sad to see actually .
I had Stern ask me why i didnt call a 20 chip raise when there was a full house on the table , and the reason i didnt because Flip had called it first , so i let her take it .

As much as i would like to gloat on our win , i felt bad for the guys on my table especially.

Bring on the next one , Just hope both teams remember we are ment to be playing together against the other side and not eachother .

First off sorry to Cuddy and the rest of the ladies for going out first, (doh) but i watched the rest of the match, and u all played a blinder.

Very well done to 69kindagal, winning for the ladies, and also Ausangel who battled hard at the end, and to Telboy for winning it for the lads, and woody coming 2nd for the lads. Was a great game. Well done all...

Yes theres no denying the fact that we had a few glory hunters out there last night, as you quite rightly pointed out. Having said that it was well controlled on my table even though there was a few questionable decisions. I must congratulate the whole team performance by you girls, out of the four games played, thats the best team performance ive seen and I was there from start to end. If we come up against that sort of performance in the next one and expect to win then we had better get our team act together. Hats off to Missy on a classy performance and of course not forgetting Ausangel,Telboy and Woody who made her fight all the way, great finale w/d all four. Steve.

very well played girls. a well deserved victory..
i will say though, the mens team played very much like we did in the first titans tourney. not like a team atall. i found myself on 3 occasions folding what was probably the winning hand, but had to fold cause a "team mate" was going all in against me, with no girls in the hand.
but i will take nothing away from the girls, you were all smart enough to figure out that you have to play things differently in the titans to be effective, CONGRATS!!! roll on the next one...

did notice that the girls made a gr8 effort to play as a team tonight and what a team..... well done. Surprised at way some of the lads played against each other. As was said u need to play so differently in this match but hey girls i think we have conquered it, just soz went out so early. Here's to the next one.

It was my first Titan's and had no idea what to do strategy-wise. I send a pm to jimmy (got not answer, sent it 10 minutes before game as I was called form reserve) and asked first thing at the table , then I was told by another gent that it was "every man on it's own" and that he got ripped last time by playing team.

Then I tried to compose with that only feedback I had for half an hour, with my intuition I should play team, but it didn't really work: I folded premiums but was also taken by other mates, etc. SO the whole thing was confusing.

We should really sit and develop a coherent strategy before next one!

If Slick's "glory hunter" was meant for me, I can assure you in wasn't the case, and I kept asking around for guidance, so much I found the game consusing.


About queen_b's example, I have to completely disageree:

The full house was on the table for all, I did bet for I was sure no one had better than the 5 community cards and so we would split the chips.

So I tried to get someone out from the sharing by betting... which was you, the two other callers (one guy, one gal, flip) all had their share. So the case you describe do not apply at all. Was just a "mistake" not to call, nothing else. Flip didn't "take it": she shared with us. So instead of 2 gals and 2 guys, the share was made for 2 guys and one gal only. Good for us....

the last 2 titans b4 last night, we played much more like a team. the main thing we did was to just check it down if there were only men left in the hand...
i am amazed that someone suggested "every man on his own". any1 with a few braincells would realize that that is a ridicules gameplan. its like playing for a football team when you are dribbling with the ball, only for a team-mate to slide tackle you from behind, breaking youre leg in the process to win the ball..

I understand what your saying Stern... I guess i dont explain myself well .... I know it was a shared pot and some of that pot were my chips . So rather than call and receive my share i folded as to give my share of the pot to Flip... geeze i still dont think im making much sence , I hope you can understand what i mean x

That makes sense to me,and was how I originally understood the game to be played. What muddied the waters slightly to me was a comment made to me by your team captain telling me that there is "no such thing as team poker"

I think we have clarity now , and I must have misunderstood Cuddys comments, in which case I apologise to her.

I flips was short stacked and you amply stacked (I think the latter was true, don't remmebr for flip), then it makes some sense, but you did still give 1/3 of your chippies to ladies and 2/3 to gents.

Must be a more effective way to restack flip (if such was the plan)
