| Patience my friend. When I started, I was seriously chuffed to get into that range. Now I have 10 times that. The key to your situation is probably a bit of bankroll management. Don't bring all your money to the table. Go back to the lower tables, if you have to. That way, if you fancy your chances at an all-in for example, you don't go back to zero if you loose. If you made a lot of money at a table, consider standing up and banking some of your chips. It's not necessary if everyone else has a low stack, but otherwise it will allow you to call other people's "stupid" all-ins without exposing your whole bankroll. |

| Yeah, dont worry about it! I've had to reset a few times, still doing very badly. I suggest joining tourneys, then you dont get the noobs coming in and going all in, then leaving. |

| Good advice from both of the above. I try to stay away from ring games, and stick with the tournaments. Don't go into the tourney unless you have 5 times the buy-in amount. If necessary, drop to a lower level table, then slowly work your way back up. Then when you get MILLIONS, you can run wild. At least that's what I heard. ![]()

| yeh thanx for the advice guys, I've never played a tournament before. millions would be nice but I think I'm too reckless. I'm English lol what can I say, us brits always liked taking risks. I maybe take them too often. I don't know. It's annoying when I have to start at 1000 though

| im still very new to poker but my advice would be to go onto the tables not to play, but to build up your bankroll.... by this i mean that when you do get yourself nicely in front then click stand up. you can always go back onto the table straight afterwards, but your profit will be safely banked. nothing worse than trebling your buy-in and then seeing it all dissapear when you get involved in a big hand and things go tits up. tonight for example i was heads up with a full house aces over something... there was a flush draw on (which i hoped he had), the other geezer had a set of sixes and went all in, which pleased me no end until the river made him quads. until you build a nice little bankroll take it slowly, keep banking the chips, dont leave that profit on the table when you dont need to be lucky |

| the best way to not lose all your money is to go into tables/tourney that only take up 10% of your bankroll. In the long run u will get a profit, unless u suck....really bad |

| I had to reset 1000 chips the first few times I played. Then I started on the mini tournaments. My husband and I both started playing last month and both hit a mil about the same time. I don't like the regular tables because everyone seems to go all-in too much. It's not like that when you play for real money. |
