yeah i got lucky there, if i was you i would have re-raised after the flop, saying that i had pocket 2's so flopped the set, so was hard to fold.

yeah i guess you was a bit lucky and like you say only had a set. but all the same you had the guts to make the call. i think at the end of the day both of us would have gone all the way with the hands we had anyhow. even if i had just called your 840 and folded at the river i would have lost most of my chips in anycase. so a re-raise was right in my opinion but im not sure if my check on the flop was the correct move. if i did push all-in i may have forced you to fold. who knows but was a good hand nevertheless.

had you go all in after flop, then quite possible i would have reluctently folded because of the 3 clubs on the board, even if you were holding 1 high club then you still had 2 chances of hitting the flush.

or maybe i'd have closed eyes, crossed fingers and called.

but was still early in torney, think i might have had to look at the bigger picture and folded and wait for a better spot.

those calls i normally take into account the player, and if you'd gone in big, then i'd have probably thought u had the flush, or a good chance of hitting 1 club on turn or river anyway
