yeah not by definition a bad beat, but sucks nonetheless. About a 62% favorite, but since you were a short stack you have to do that with most pairs and Aces (especially suited AT). Only other option is check fold your way past the bubble, but only if someone else is even shorter and the structure will let you.

I know everyone says stay off the rings. But the tourneys are just as bad. At least in rings you can reload. In tourneys you have to avoid bad beats the whole way until the finish.

I wouldn't call the KQ bad play but A4 off I would.

I also wouldn't call yours a bad beat Tel, but it was a bit unlucky. I was watching you for a while when there were about 40 left. Nice playing mate.

I watched a tv program where they were chatting to a couple of pro players, Tony G and a Scandinavian guy who's name escapes me, but they both said that at the bubble was THE time to make plays like the one your opponent made. They said its risky but they also said it's worth the risk in most cases, especially as most people tighten right up at/near the bubble.

But what to I know

Good luck next time mate.

I get called and beat by KQ all the time. If I have AA, then KK will come on the flop etc... etc...
Mostly it's a decent player who calls too..
I think it's just the luck of the draw when all in..but I would have done the same as you there Tel.
3 hours of play, I'd probably have been losing the will to live by then, so I probably would have done what the other guy did too..unlucky m8.
